Illamasqua Flirtatious Velvet Blusher is one of the two new blush shades which was released last month as part of Illamasqua Summer 2014 Makeup Collection (preview, swatches, photos). I had used Illamasqua’s blushers before so I was really excited to get this new shade, especially since it’s so summer friendly.

Illamasqua Flirtatious Velvet Blusher (£21.50/ $30.00 for 5 g/ 0.18 oz) is officially described as a soft pink. In my opinion is a light soft peachy coral with a velvet finish. It is truly a shade suitable for every skin tone as those will fair and light tones can apply it softly for a natural healthy daily look while those with medium and darker skin tones can easily build up the color to the desired opacity.
The formula is absolutely amazing and if you haven’t tried Illamasqua’s blushes before this is the kind of product it really worth investing it. If at first when you swatch or pick up the product is behaves like a creamy blusher within couple of second when you warm up the texture with your hands it turns into a velvet matte finish. It’s easily blendable and I like to use my fingers but a blush brush will do the work just fine especially if you want a subtle effect recommended to those with fair skin colors.
I personally love Flirtatious shade as it looks so natural on my, it makes my entire face look fresh and gives me that instant and effortlessly summery look. I have a combination and sensitive skin type but I was really happy to see that this formula doesn’t emphasizes my pores, it doesn’t cake up or slide off the skin. Because it’s basically a cream blush it has an amazing lasting power and I had around 7 hours wear with this formula.
I truly believe this will be one of the best selling Illamasqua’s Blusher shades as it is suitable for everyone either if you want a soft natural and fresh shade on your cheeks or a more intense and brighter shade.
