There are a lot of news coming from Shiseido this season as they launched a new makeup collection for fall winter 2013, the new Zen Gold Elixir EDP and also the Ibuki Skincare Line that I specifically detailed in quite a few articles.
Last week I attended a social event where all Shiseido novelties were presented by Margo Canfeure from Shiseido’s European headquarters and Mouna Ghoul from the European Research Center. I was really looking forward to seeing all the new products in person since I’ve already spread the news about them on the blog months before the launch date.
U.S. Launch Date – now @shiseido.com, Sephora, Nordstrom
Romania Launch Date – mid September 2013 at Sephora, Douglas
International Launch Date – September/October 2013 at Sephora, Douglas and all Shiseido’s counters
Take a peek and find out more!
It was really interesting to find out more about the Ibuki Skincare Line which was specially created for women in their 20’s and 30’s with busy life styles, so these new products are meant to adapt your skin to the conditions of your stressful life considering the external factors like pollution, lack of sleep, stress and so many others. The Ibuki Skincare Line features 2 cleansers, one softening concentrate, a corrective eye cream and 3 moisturizers each one suitable for different skin conditions. I’ve tested each product and I was really impressed by the super light texture of the Softening Concentrate which enhances the benefits of the skincare that follows. If you are interested in specific details and promo images you can find them all in the Ibuki Skincare Collection article.
I’ve started using the Shiseido Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream so I’ll be able to tell you more in a few weeks. As a preview I will tell you that this product concentrates its efforts in blowing away the appearance of puffiness, dryness, dark circles and fine lines so I’m curious if it does everything it promises.
Regarding the Shiseido Fall Winter Makeup Collection (official info & promo images) my attention went to the new Sheer & Perfect Foundation SPF 15 and to the new shades of Lacquer Rouge. Since June when I heard about the new Eye Color Palette (sneak peek photos) I was hoping to see it in person also in my country but unfortunately the star piece of the collection won’t be available here. I’ve swatched all the products and played with their texture but in the end I was really charmed by the Sheer & Perfect Foundation, which I wore it yesterday for the first time, with its sheer coverage, lightweight texture and that incredible feeling that I wasn’t wearing a full face makeup.
The makeup collection features 3 new Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trios, 4 new Lacquer Rouge shades, 10 new shades of Perfect Rouge lipstick and also 3 Eye Brow Styling Compacts. My second favorite product was the Lacquer Rouge in Diva a bright and pigmented violet pink with a creamy texture and incredible long lasting power. It lasted on my lips for 6 hours considering I’ve also had dinner and it didn’t dried my lips.
Another pleasant surprise was the Zen Gold Elixir EDP Absolue with notes like Jasmine, Magnolia and vanilla. It had a strong and rich scent and I find very suitable for fall and winter.
