Review: Max Factor Lash Extension Effect – Extreme Lengthening Mascara

by Tavia

Hello Ladies!

If you desire to have long eyelashes with the effect of  lash extension, keep reading this article because I might just have the solution for you.

They say that New Lash Extension Effect Mascara by Max Factor with the longest brush ever ( I have to say it’s kind of true) will reach even the tricky corner lashes, leaving you with corner length and impact. You can choose your shade from the three available ones: graphic black, flattering black/ brown or waterproof classic black.

As you can see from the photos, the brush is indeed a long one, but it’s soft and I like it because it can pick up exactly the right amount of product. I hate when other mascaras pick up too much product and your eyelashes get clumped and sticky just after the first layer, or maybe worse, when you don’t see so much product on your brush.

Bare-Eyelashes

Bare eyelashes

I’ve made this photo with my bare eyelashes so you can see the difference even after the first layer. My eyelashes became longer without clumping and very well defined. They have a natural effect right after the first layer. I like to use lengthening mascaras during the day, because I like to keep a natural look and I like to save the dramatic ones  like False Lash Effect Mascara for the evening.

Second-Layer-Mascara Second layer of Max Factor Lash Extension Effect

After I’ve applied the second layer of mascara, my eyelashes were definitely extended and I could see the lash extension effect. The long brush it picked up even the small eyelashes making them longer and leaving them looking natural in the same time. Eyelashes are well defined, without clumping and definitely blacker  :). This brush really added dramatic corner details.

I don’t like to apply mascara on my lower lashes, mostly because I don’t like them longer then they already are and I don’t want to get sticky when I blink.

So far so good! But I was curious to see how this mascara would last on my lashes the whole day. So here it’s my photo 8 hours later.

8hours-Later-Mascara 8 hours later

What do you think girls? My lashes were still black, full of color. I was extremely happy to see that they were not clumped. Of course that you can notice, they don’t have the same effect like 8 hours before but I was pretty pleased with the natural looking effect.

The price of Max Factor Lash Extension Mascara is £10.99 for 6.5 ml and you can also buy this online at Max Factor website.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this review. I would love to hear from you so let me know what you think bellow in the comments. 🙂

Your lashes look amazing! The mascara is a bit too natural for my tastes but I love how it lenghtened and defined your lashes. It looks great on you!

Hiya! your lashes do look really nice but I’m afraid I found this product sooo disapointing. My eyelashes are quite thick and curly but not very long so I was expecting to see at least a bit of a difference but I have to say this was one of the worst mascaras I’ve used in a long time and not worth anywhere near the £10.99 I paid!! I had to use loads for it to look like I had mascara on but it didn’t clump which is a good thing. It has to be L’oreal double lash extension with serum inside which you can slowly build depending on your taste or without for a natural daytime look.
Always nice to try something different though! 🙂

Hi Genevieve! This mascara made my lashes longer but not voluminous, they were just looking natural. Is not a mascara for curling or volume, but if you wanna have a natural lash effect it’s OK. I’m actually combing 2 mascaras right now to get what I want. Thanks for sharing though! 🙂
