Today I want to talk to you about MustaeV makeup products, which have become available in US last month and I’m so happy to be able to test some of their smooth single eye shadows. If you are not familiar with the brand then as a quick intro I will tell you it’s a Korean cosmetic line that has been studying and developing beauty products in collaboration with renowned makeup artists and beauty experts based in Apgujeong Dong and Cheongdam Dong, considered the beauty mecca of Korea.
MustaeV was established in Seoul’s Cheongdam area, known as the beauty mecca of Korea, back in 2009 and is based on more than 60 years of experience in developing and supplying products to international name brand cosmetic companies.
I’m looking forward to seeing how popular MustaeV makeup items will become in US and I will surely keep an eye on them.

In order to familiarize myself with the brand I choose four MustaeV Smooth Single Eye Shadows ($13.00 for 1.8 g) that I will be testing and using for the next few days. I picked up mostly pink based eyeshadows as I couldn’t help restraining my love for pink colors but I did picked up a natural warm brown shade.
I swatched and played a little with these eyeshadows today and my first impression is that they are very pigmented, have a good adherence as I didn’t notice any fallout and I like how smooth and silky they feel. They surely look more intense applied over an eyeshadow primer and here I’m talking especially about shimmery and metallic shades.
The packaging is also pretty simple, single black cases with a transparent cap, easy to open, use and store. They hold 1.8 g of product and cost cheaper than than a MAC eyeshadow which has 1.5 g and retails for $15.00.
MustaeV Desert Pink Smooth Single Eye Shadow is a subtle, vintage, natural pink shade with a silver glitter pearl tone. I would see this shade used on the corner on the lid to brighten up the eye or on the crease for luminosity. I also want to let you know that this shade as well as the others look so true in the promo photo posted on MustaeV website so I can really feel confident buying online for other shades and products as well as the photos show the true color of the products.
MustaeV Desert Pink Smooth Single Eye Shadow is a very subtle and natural light pink with soft coral undertones. This shade is all skin colors friendly and I would use it to create a natural, girly and fresh makeup look. It has a matte finish and it’s easily blendable.
MustaeV Julep Smooth Single Eye Shadow is a luxurious dark red wine shade with a beige base and a beautiful pearl/ metallic finish. It’s highly pigmented and has a silky texture.
MustaeV Pekoe Smooth Single Eye Shadow is a soft light beige with a matte finish. It has a silky texture and it’s easily applied without any fallout.
I also got the V31 Blush Brush ($50.00) from the Secret Brush Collection and it’s made of high quality soft natural hair that provides luxuriously soft bristles and a smooth and even blush application. I’m always interested in the attention to details because these kind of small details separate the good products from great products. In this case MustaeV V31 Blush Brush comes with a small smooth plastic cover that protects the natural hair and it’s perfect for storing it and also keeps the dust away. The handle is just the perfect size, not very long or too short as it fits in my hand perfectly and has a elegant laser logo.
As a complementary gift I also received a few samples of Water Bomb Base and Skinny Tint Foundation in two different shades which I really hope at least one of them will match my skin tone.
Water Bomb Base ($33.00 for 40 ml) is a 2-in-1 product, a Serum-Primer which maintains skin hydrated and smooth all day long. This water gel product goes on leaving you with a hydrated light weight feel and evens out the texture of the skin.
Skinny Tint Foundation ($33.00 for 40 ml) provides a sheer to medium coverage with a natural finish in a lightweight form. Water fast moisture protective screen keeps the skin hydrated all day long. I got the shades Innocent and Bright Beige.
