Last week I attended the opening of Monroe Make-Up & Hair Lounge a new concept and as far as I know the first beauty studio in my country to offer express hair, nails, face treatments and professional makeup services. Everyone has a busy life these days and Monroe was specially created for women who want quality services but don’t want to spent hours in a beauty salon. One of the best parts about Monroe is that you can drop by without an appointment or if you want a professional makeup session in the comfort of your own home, there’s nothing simpler because one of the makeup artists can come to you.
What I first like about Monroe Make-Up & Hair Lounge is the joyful, feminine and colorful design which creates a chic, happy and Marilyn Monroe like atmosphere. There are comfortable armchairs in bright colors almost everywhere in the salon or you can choose to relax on the vintage sofa with lots of fluffy pillows. The location is quite central, being situated on Calea Floreasca no. 61 across Rue du Pain.
At Monroe Make-Up & Hair Lounge you will find only the best brands, from Kinetics and OPI for nails, Medik8 for facial treatments, TIGI for hairstyle and Make Up For Ever, Numeric Proof, Benefit San Francisco for makeup.
Another thing I like about Monroe concept is that you can be spoiled with professional makeup session in 20 minutes if we are talking about about a natural day look or 40 minutes tops for a cocktail or glamorous evening make-up. The Monroe team has quite a few makeup artists to choose from and they are all coordinated by my all time favorite chief make-up artist Sinziana Iaru. When it comes to Monroe makeup services they are divided in two: Express by Day which offers express makeup sessions from Monday to Friday between 8.00 AM and 7.00 PM and Diva by Night starting from 7.00 PM until late in the night for those who want to get ready for a special night out.

You can stop by Monroe anytime if you are looking for quality beauty services and you don’t have time to spent a few good hours – or half day – at the beauty salon to do your hair, makeup or mani-pedi or you just want to enjoy a beverage with your friends in a unique and chic atmosphere. The salon has its own special drink bar where you can choose from bubble and fizzy drinks for sparklers lovers, mocktails, wines or fresh fruit juices, soft drinks or coffee drinks.
