Today I want to show you the Estee Lauder Art of Eyes Dramatic Smoky makeup kit which was sent to me for testing and review purposes. I don’t know how many of you still remember this kit but it was available last winter in a limited edition as part of Estee Lauder Holiday 2013 The Art Sets (info & photos). This year it became available again also in limited edition so you can still find it online or at Estee Lauder beauty counters.

All the products came in a luscious blue and green makeup case which was carefully packed in the Estee Lauder box along with a small face chart to help you create the Dramatic Smoky eye look.

The Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara comes in full-size (.27 oz) in the shade #01 Extreme Black. The golden packaging is so elegant and stylish and there’s enough product in this tube to last you a few good months. Normally the full size mascara retails for £22.00 / $26.00 so by acquiring this set you also get another 3 products. I’ve already tested this mascara and wear it a couple of times so my review will follow shortly.
The Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear Concealer SPF 10 comes in the shade #02 Light/Medium which is mostly suitable for fair and light skintones like mine but also for light medium complexions. This product comes in a travel size containing 1.9 ml/ .06 fl oz. The full size concealer retails for $23.00 / £19.00.
The Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner in the shade #01 Blackened Black is also in travel-size while the full size will retail for $22.00/ £16.00.
The Eyeshadow Compact contains the following 5 shades of Pure Color Eyeshadow: Sugar Cube, Sepia Sand, Silver Bell, Lavish Mink and Amazing Grey. It contains 4 g/ .14 oz of product but the biggest eyeshadow is Silver Bell which has a shimmer finish. This eyeshadow compact contains shades with different finishes like matte, shimmer and satin and it’s suitable for creating natural looks as well as a soft smoky eye. I’ve used this compact a few times and I found the shades to be more subtle and natural rather then deep and pigmented. The most pigmented shade is #45 Lavish Mink which is a deep matte brown.
