Illamasqua Glam Cream and Individual Bronzer from Body Electrics Summer 2010 Collection – Preview + Photos

by Tavia

Hi everyone,

I’m just going to make a preview post to show you two products that I’ve got from Illamasqua Body Electrics makeup collection for summer 2010.

So here are Illamasqua Glam Cream in Flex and Individual Bronzer in Burnish.

I’m planning to review these pretty soon and I think I’m going to start with the Glam Cream that I’ve just tested the other day but today I’m just gonna go and mix it with my foundation because I’m really curious about the result.

The entire Body Electrics collection is available in beauty shops and online at @Illamasqua.

Illamasqua Glam Cream – 36 g (1.27 oz) £22.50

Light up your soul and release the inner you. Containing iridescent, pearlescent pigments, this lightweight cream is suitable for face and body, lifting and highlighting wherever it’s applied. Use on its own or mix with foundation for an immediate skin brightening effect that will illuminate the night.

I love the packaging,  and because black is always a classy and elegant color you can’t go wrong with it. I can say that I’m already used with the simple and elegant packaging of Illamasqua products. 🙂

I’m hopping to rock this cream on my skin after I’ll have a great tan and I’m pretty sure that I’ll be using this lightweight cream mostly on my body than on my face.

Individual Bronzer – 9 g (0.32 oz) – £ 20.00

Shape, define, tempt and tease. Illamasqua Bronzer contains crushed pearl powder, for a smooth, even finish that leaves skin begging to be caressed. Apply to face and body for a beautiful bronzed glow that will last until dawn.

The shade that I’ve got is Burnish, a beautiful golden bronze. The packaging is gorgeous, the black case has Illamasqua’s discreet logo on the top of the case and the same logo is also on the bronzer. Inside there is also a mirror which is very helpful if you wanna do a quick retouch.

I can’t say I’m very found of Bronzers, I actually never wear them. 🙂 I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup, especially in the summer when the temperatures are going crazy (we had + 40 degrees Celsius here) so I’m just trying to keep it as simple as possible. Anyway it should be a new experience for me trying out this bronzer but since my skin is so pale it will be a real challenge to pull it off. 🙂

Now it’s your turn. 🙂 Have you bought anything from Illamasqua Body Electrics summer 2010 collection? I’m still craving for that Liquid Metal and bright purple nail polish. 🙂

Oh, so you were talking about Gleam Cream 🙂
These are the kind of products that I wear ALL the time! Right now I love Benefit Hoola bronzer and BECCA Skin Perfector (highlighter) the best.
Can’t wait to read about your experience and hope you’d love such products as much as I do.
PS. You can just use bronzer to contour, it should look great!

But I don’t want to contour :(…I don’t like to wear full makeup (foundation, powder, blush, setting powder or all sorts of things) I try to keep as less product as I can on my face. 🙂 I just posted my photo on Twitter when I wear Glam Cream mixed with foundation.

I have never tried something of Illamasqua, and i should 🙂 We cannot buy it in Belgium, we need to order from the UK.
Do you have a one thing that you would recommend?

I don’t have Illamasqua here in my country also. But I’ve got some of their products in the past and if I can recommend you something would be their nail polishes. They are very chip resistant, gorgeous finish and texture. 🙂

I can’t wait for the reviews. The gleam cream sounds interesting. The bronzer is pretty too but I think that shade is too dark for my skin. 🙁

The bronzer is definitely too dark for me too, especially now that I’ve stopped going to solarium for about 2 months and I’m white like cheese. :)) Yesterday I’ve mix Glam Cream with my foundation but when I returned home in night, all my face was shiny and the guilty one for this was the Glam Cream. My type of skin is oily so mixing this cream with foundation is not a good idea, I think dry or normal types of skin will have better luck. 🙂

I love Illamasqua but I haven’t tried anything from this new collection. I’ve just been too obsessed with MAC lately lol I think you can pull this off even if you’re fair. Just go very lightly 🙂 And yessss I want that purple nail polish too, I’ve seen it on someone’s blog and at that second I was sold! I don’t see it on Sephora’s website though, I wonder where else I can buy it! :s

Nor MAC or Illamasqua are available in my country so I can’t get obsessed. 🙂 My wallet is safe for a while. I get to buy from those brands only when I travel to other countries. I think the Glam Cream would look better on me if I would have some tan. 🙂

I don’t have anything from Illamasqua and I so want to try their stuff! The packaging simply screams *buy me*! 😀 :)))

Most of the times I’m crazy about simple but elegant packaging. Those cute packaging are fun sometimes but I don’t look like a serious girl if somebody will see a MAC eyeshadow from the Venomous Villains collection in my purse :)))

I want to get an Illamasqua nail polish. The bronzer looks nice and easy to wear.
