It’s time to go back to those lip glosses reviews. 🙂 Pure lip gloss is included in Smashbox Naked Beauty Lip gloss collection for summer 2010. The collection includes 8 mini lip glosses and it’s available in a limited edition @Smashbox for the price of $25.00.
If you are into natural lip colors then you will definitely like this color.
Today I’m gonna review Pure lip gloss which is actually a juicy melon shade, very shiny a lot more pigmented than the other glosses from this collection. You can actually get that watermelon color on your lips. Is not actually my favorite color from the entire collection because it contains also red tones so you can see is more like a reddish pink shade, which can be great for those of you looking for new red lip glosses in summer colors.
It looks more pigmented in the tube than it does on the lips but at least is still brings out some color to your lips comparing to some of the shades included in the same collection that are very sheer.
Although I’m not crazy about the color I love the effect of “wet lips” brought by this super glossy shine. 🙂
I guess the color is pretty pigmented considering the collection is called Naked Beauty all the shades supposed to be natural and sheer. Do you like this shade? Would wear this kind of color on your lips? 🙂
Left: bare lips – Right: wearing Smashbox Pure lip gloss
Getting to the part where it suppose to be long lasting, I’m afraid you won’t be able to keep it on your lips more than 2-3 hours, that’s of course if you are not having something to eat during than time. Being part of the Mini Lip Gloss collection I must tell you this is one tiny lip gloss. The tube has only 1.40 ml (0.04 fl. oz) of product to offer.
The applicator is small as well, but provides a great application, spreads the gloss evenly without leaving lines on my lips.
I hope this review was helpful for you and I would really love to know if this shade is one that you are usually wearing on your lips. If not, I would still love to know your opinion about it so don’t be shy to leave any comments. 🙂
