Estee Lauder #16 Candy Pure Color Lipstick ($30.00 / £25.00 for 3.8 g/ 0.13 oz) is a light baby pink with a frosty finish. It has a good color payoff, it’s pigmented but still delivers a light to medium coverage.
Is the kind of innocent color I would wear on a daily basis, suited more for the first part of the day, when you want a lighter color on the lips. It does chance my natural lip color but not too much, just adds a bit of pink shimmer and a light frosty finish.
The formula is creamy, glides evenly across the lips and feels lightweight and moisturizing but it does emphasizes my lip lines just a bit. The frosty finish gives such a luminous glow and makes my lips appear fresh, but even though I’m digging the color I’m not so much into the frosty finish.
The color offers a medium coverage but Estee Lauder insists that it’s buildable up to full coverage, which I don’t think so, as even though I layered the color I’m not able to get a more richer or intense shade, just the same baby pink adorable and innocent shade.
I like how it feels on my lips throughout the day, it moisturizes them so they feel soft and smooth but I can’t say it has a long-lasting formula. Whenever I drink the color wears away and disappears completely whenever I eat. I do get about 3 to 4 hours wear with this formula without drinking and eating.
The packaging is a limited edition release, very classy and simple, so nothing sophisticated or luxurious.
