Hello beauties!
I’m really excited to share with you my first impression and swatches of Senna Summer 2013 Sunglow Collection. Back in June when I first announced this collection I was very anxious to test some of these products so if you are looking for the official info and color story please check my previous post.
The collection is divided into two looks: Bronzelite for those who want a sunkissed makeup but still natural and fresh and Emerald Isle a bold makeup look with lips painted in fiery colors and sparkling emerald shade for the yes.
As a girl with a light skin tone I’m more attracted towards the products from Senna Bronzelite look as I find them more suitable for my skin color but I would still borrow the Emerald eyeshadow and Ultra Black eyeliner from Emerald Isle look.

The packaging of Senna products is always classy without being boring, simple but elegant and this time even though I’m not a fan of Baked Bronzers I was so old when I saw the colors and packaging of the new Senna Baked Mineral Bronzer & Highlighter in Dawn. The black and shiny compact case looks so stylish not to mention it has a big mirror inside if I want to retouch my makeup.
I will be reviewing each product separately in the days to come so keep an eye on my blog if you want to know more about any of these products. Until my reviews of Senna Summer 2013 Sunglow makeup products will be up I thought you may enjoy to see swatches and my first impression about the entire collection.
Brilliant Bronze Baked Mineral Bronzer & Highlighter– New – $42.00
I really like both Sunset and Dawn compacts but I find that Dawn is more suitable for fair and light skin tones like me but it can be used even by those with medium skin tone. The Sunset compact has a beautiful sparkling gold shade as a highlighter which I really love but the brown color is just to dark for me so if you have medium, olive or darker skin tone it will work better for you.
Glow Eye Color – $18.00
Both Emerald and Rose Gold are beautiful shades, apply smoothly, they are pigmented but not very intense. Rose Gold is a golden pink which can be used to create a natural, fresh day look or it can be used as a highlighter while the jeweled green is just a gorgeous shade with a light reflective finish and intense sheen.
Ultra Last Eye Liner – New – $20.00
Both shades Ultra Black and Ultra Brown apply smoothly and they are highly pigmented. I still need to wear them a couple of times to test if they are indeed waterproof and smudgeproof so keep checking my blog for upcoming reviews.
Lip Laquer – $20.00
Lip Lacquers have always been my favorite and Sunstone, the beautiful sparkling golden amber has been on my lips a couple of times and I will probably review this one next. Bonfire is a blood orange shine, a really bright and pigmented orange with a water-like shine perfect for those who are not color shy. Both shades apply smoothly and they feel light on the lips, just a tiny bit sticky but they are so moisturizing. Once you open the tube you’ll notice a delicate vanilla scent.
Cream Lipstick – $20.00
Midas and Down to Earth lipsticks feels so soft and hydrating on the lips. Down to Earth is a warm golden chocolate, a very pigmented shade a bit darker for my light complexion and for my taste but it can be warmed up by applying Sunstone lip lacquer on top. Midas is a metallic dirty gold with shimmer, also pigmented on the lips but I chose to apply a lip gloss on top just because I’m not a fan of golden lips.
Powder Point 33 Brush – $38.00
I’ve already used this brush to test the bronzers and it has such a soft tip, being made of natural hair.
