Urban Decay Crush Vice Lipstick Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello sweeties!

Urban Decay Crush Vice Lipstick was love at first sight, first swatch and first touch for me. I met this intense fuchsia pink for the first time when I was invited for a pampering afternoon by Urban Decay. There were 100 lipstick shades there, beautifully arranged on the counter but my hand reached out directly for Urban Decay Crush…you know me for being addicted to pink so that probably won’t come as a surprise. From the first swatch I knew I had to have this color in my collection.

That day I not only received a makeover in style of Urban Decay but also a new hairstyle to go with it, so obviously that my lip color choice was Crush. I posted a quick video on Instagram that day and told you how excited I was about this color. Keep on reading to find out how this lipstick performs and check out lip swatches.

Urban Decay Crush Vice Lipstick ($17.00 / €19.00 /£15.00 / 98.00 lei for 3.4 g/ 0.11 oz.) is officially described as a hot pink with a cream finish. I see it as a bright, intense, medium fuchsia pink with blue undertones and a cream finish.
It has an insanely pigmentation, bursting with intense color and a creamy finish that offers also a light, natural sheen. It delivers an opaque color coverage on one swipe. It glides on easily and evenly across the lips, without tugging the lips and leaving any lines behind. It’s the kind of color that will draw attention to your lips, so you may want to keep your eye makeup a bit more on the natural side, at least during the day.

Urban Decay Crush Vice Lipstick is definitely not for those who are color shy and will look a bit more intense on those with lighter skin tones. It has a creamy but moderately slippery consistency. It felt comfortable on my lips from beginning to end without feeling any dryness throughout the wear. I absolutely love cream formulas when it comes to a lipstick.

I love this color so much that I had to try out other pink Urban Decay Vice Lipstick shades and see how well they will behave.

The color remained on my lips for the entire afternoon, even though I had a meal and drinks in the evening. When I got home, late in the night after 7 hours wear, I still had color on my lips, but as not as pigmented. It was still a decent amount of color left, evenly spread and without looking streaky. On me it left a subtle pink stain that lasted for a few more hours. My lips were soft and hydrated while I was wearing Urban Decay Crush so they didn’t actually required a lip balm afterwards.
