My makeup products from Shiseido – Preview, Photos & Swatches

by Tavia

Hello lovelies!

In the past week I received quite a lot of products to review and since I wasn’t able to post any previews/ reviews for a while (because of my laptop problems) now I’m taking photos again of all the products that I will review in near future.

Now I finally have the chance to try some of Shiseido makeup products that I’ve heard so great things about, thanks to Shiseido Romania which send me a little package.

My package includes Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio (tester packaging), one Lacquer Rouge shade (to be launch in end of summer), Perfect Refining Foundation SPF15, a stylish pencil and a presentation book of Shiseido 360 Sunshine Suncare Summer 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) which you probably heard about from my post the other day.

The foundation and eyeshadow trio are available at Shiseido counters within Sephora, Douglas perfumeries, B&B beauty shops, Marionnaud and online @shiseido.com.

Follow me after the jump for more details, photos and swatches.

I got Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RS 404 shade a new lip gloss that will be available on counters in August – September 2012. I love the packaging, black with Shiseido watermark on one side, very simple classy and elegant. The color is more than beautiful, is a vibrant raspberry red, very pigmented and shiny on the lips. I worn this color yesterday (upcoming review very soon) and now I’m in love with it. I’m not into red shades but this raspberry red color with shiny particles was love at first sight. I will give you more details in my upcoming review post.

My Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio is in #BL310 Punky Blues ($33.00) and it’s available online @shiseido.com. All 3 colors look very bright and pigmented inside the palette but once you apply them they turn into sheer shades so using an eyeshadow primer really makes a huge difference. I will do a review soon on this trio and probably a makeup look although I’m not very talented with blue shades. The texture is very smooth and they have a silky satin finish.

About the Perfect Refining Foundation SPF 15 (SPF 16 in the U.S.) I can tell you that I got the shade I 20 Natural Light Ivory and I did only a hand swatch but I haven’t tested on my face yet so I’m hopping for a perfect match since I have a pale skin. 🙂 The price is $38.50 for 30 ml of product and it’s available now @shiseido. com and international Shiseido counters.

It said to blend seamlessly to instantly erase conspicuous pores, acne scars, and skin roughness for perfectly even, long-lasting coverage. Minimizes shine while optimizing the moisture balance of the skin. Offers an exquisitely smooth, refined finish for 15 hours.

I’m not intending to keep my makeup on for more than 8 hours so I don’t know what to say about those 15 hours. I remember those rare cases when I travel to far away countries and I won’t remove my makeup for so long but this is not healthy for my complexion.

I’m waiting your impressions about these products in the comments bellow. If you tried any of these please tell me about your experience.

I can’t belive what a big difference! The eyeshadows are very pigmented with the primer but I don’t like how they look without primer. They are too expensive for what they can do 🙁

Well they are described as sheer colors so indeed they are pretty sheer without primer. 🙂

The eyeshadow trios are actually more pigmented than that, they are buildable so u can make them sheer (as shown) or more full coverage.

I am excited for the new lacquer rouge formula! That color is beautiful! Would you say they feel thick like a lipstick or like a lip gloss?

They are more like a 2 in 1 product, they are pigmented and thick like a lipstick but it’s glossy and lightweight, non sticky like a lip gloss. 🙂

Hi Erika! As you can see my photos are almost the same, one with sheer color and the other where they look more pigmented. 🙂

Your swatches are great 🙂 I was only showing how they would look with out any primer at all, since @Adina was saying they dont look the same with primer and alone, but indeed you can make them pigmented without a primer too 🙂
