Last month I received new MustaeV makeup products (swatches, photos) and since then I’ve been wearing, testing and using them in a couple of my makeup looks. Today I want to show you the MustaeV Old Gold Eyeshadow which I’m wearing right now and I used it to create a dramatic black & gold makeup look (tutorial, photos).

MustaeV Old Gold Eyeshadow ($13.00 for 1.8 g) is officially described as a deluxe gold-bronze shade like an ancient city. It’s a light gold-bronze with an intense metallic finish. The color is very pigmented and intense applied even without a primer. It has a semi-cream texture which feels incredibly smooth to the touch everytime I swatch this product and it’s applied smoothly and evenly across the lid without any fall out.
In a single application Old Gold shows an impeccable rich and luxury color with a good adherence. I like to use this color on the lid or on the inner part of the lid to add a pop of color and brighten up the eyes as Old Gold is truly an elegant eyeshadow.
It feels lightweight once applied, it doesn’t smudge or crease and it lasts beautifully for more than 8 hours. The packaging as I’m sure you’ve noticed from the photos bellow is very similar with MAC eyeshadows as it comes in a round plastic case with a transparent lid that snaps shut.
I have to say if you are looking for an intense gold-bronze with an intense metallic sheen and a super smooth semi-cream texture that won’t crease, smudge or fade and stays put for more than 8 hours then you should definitely give MustaeV Old Gold a chance. I have to say it’s really a pleasure working with this particular eyeshadow because of its texture and the way it applies as also for the gorgeous luminous and elegant color that will suit any eye color.
I will be posting more makeup looks in the future using this shade so keep reading my blog and check out the LOOKS section for any upcoming makeup tutorials.
