Max Factor launched their Wild Collection Summer 2013 a while ago so you must have seen it on the counters or even purchased a few products. Today I want to review the Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencil in Fierce Lime, a shade which was sent by PR but as a tester so if you want to see the original packaging please check the Wild Collection article with promo photos.
The new Wild Shadow Pencil is a 2-in-1 gel shadow and liner that gives the precision of an eyeliner, in pigmented colors but can also be used as an eyeshadow base to create all sorts of bold looks. It is available in 9 shades.

Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencil in #10 Fierce Lime (£4.99/ 36.00 Lei for 2.3 g) is a light lime green with yellow undertones and a slightly metallic metallic finish. I can’t say it was a friendly color for me especially since I have green eyes but you should choose what’s best suited for you. It has a good color payoff and it’s highly pigmented, providing an opaque color coverage in just one swipe.
It has a creamy texture and it glides smoothly and gently across the lid without pulling or feeling dry. It’s easy to blend and smudge and can also be used as an eyeshadow base if you want to intensify your eyeshadow. I’ve wear it alone but also under a green eyeshadow and I’ve compared the results.
Used as a base under a green eyeshadow really makes that color pop and intensifies its pigmentation but you can also used it under different shades, the possibilities are endless. It doesn’t feel dry and it didn’t crease so I had about 7 hours wear. Used only as a pencil it tends to crease after 5 hours and you have to retouch your makeup and after 7 hours wear the color faded noticeably. I see it more like a jumbo eye pencil so you will need a jumbo sharpener for it.
