Hello pretties!
If you’ve been reading my blog for the past couple of months I’m sure you already know by now from the multitude of articles I’ve written about Make Up For Ever Holiday 2012 Holodiam Collection that I’m in love with their new Holodiam Powders (preview & photos). Since I knew the collection was released I hurried up to my local MUFE studio and bought my favorite #302 Holodiam Powder which I’ve used a couple of times and I also have a makeup look ready for you.

Now at Sephora, Nordstrom or MUFE Studio (in Bucharest)
Make Up For Ever #302 Holodiam Powder ($25.00 / 112.00 Lei for 0.035 oz./ 1 g) which is available in limited edition was officially described as “plum with pink, purple, turquoise highlights” but when I swatched it over a primer it has a very vibrant and pigmented reddish copper color with pink, gold and teal sparkle. This holodiam powder is a very loose powder that plays with light for a multi-reflection color result and has a high pay off.
I actually swatch the color over two different primers (Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer and Sephora Glitter Eye Primer) and the results were a little bit different. It appears to have a metallic-like finish over a Glitter Primer or a Creamy Base while on other primers it looks more shiny and sparkling. It is actually hard to describe this color because depending on the base, cream shadow or matte eyeshadow that you are applying it, it takes on different colors and reflections. The final color can also reflect different shades depending on how the light hits and from what angle you are look at.
Make Up For Ever also recommends it to be used on eyes and cheeks, dry or wet depending on what effect you want your makeup look to have. Because it’s such a fine micro-glitter I suggest you to use a setting or fixing spray to seal your makeup. My favorite setting sprays are MAC Fix + and Model in a Bottle Sensitive Formula (review).

I hope you enjoyed this review and please feel free to share your thoughts about this product. Have you purchased so far any Holodiam Powders?
