I bought MAC Engraved Powerpoint Eye Pencil earlier this month and as you know I’ve been hitting MAC counters pretty often since fall started. I got time to test it and wear it a couple of times so my review is ready. This is a permanent shades so you can find it now at all MAC locations as well as online.
Where to buy:
U.S. – Now online @maccosmetics.com and MAC counters
International & Romania – Now at MAC Stores
MAC Engraved Powerpoint Eye Pencil (75.00 Lei / $17.00 for 1.2 g /0.04 oz) is officially described as a rich black. It’s a medium black with a matte finish. It had a fairly good pigmentation in one stroke but it wasn’t a pitch black color.
I like that it has a very well balanced formula, not too creamy or to thick, it glides on easily across the lid and even on the waterline. On me there are only 2 or 3 eye pencils, actually khols that last decent on the waterline and unfortunately MAC Engraved is not one of them.
This one performs fairly good on the lid, can be smudged easily or used all over the lid as a base and then blended for a smoky eye. It doesn’t transfers or budge, stays in place, but I won’t say that it’s quite waterproof. It wore on me for about eight hours before fading but on the waterline I saw it disappearing after less than an hour.
