Donna Karan presents her new DKNY My NY fragrance that will hit counters at the end of summer and honestly I’m really happy to smell a new scent other than those limited editions DKNY Be Delicious that we saw lately. I love the new heart-shaped bottle which expresses the modern urban spirit of Donna’s beloved city. Rita Ora is featured in the ad campaign and even though Rita did some print campaigns for DKNY ready-to-wear and Rimmel, this is her first fragrance campaign.
She comes across as very strong, and that’s what I love about her line. It’s a very confident, energetic line and it’s about women who speak their minds. The fragrance celebrates New York City, which is unlike anyplace else in the world. I have a soft spot for perfumes that comes in cute and feminine bottles as I still have in my collection Chopard Happy Spirit but this new heart-shaped bottle looks modern and a bit more urbanistic also because of its silver metallic skyline cap.
Donna Karan DKNY My NY Eau de Parfum will be available in 30 ml/ 1 0z. for $48.00, 50 ml/ 1.7 oz for $68.00 and 100 ml/ 3.4 oz for $88.00 but there will also be complementary items joining the collection like a shower gel ($30.00), a body lotion ($40.00) and a rollerball ($24.00).
