Ciate Un-Restricted Glam nail polish has been on my nails this week and there’s no secret that I enjoy dark nail polishes and especially a classic black color. Every chance I get I like to paint my nails in a black nail polish and I especially do this when my nails are short like they are now. I have this polish for quite some time and I purchased it myself at a beauty fair.
Now at Sephora, Nordstrom and online @ciate.co.uk
Ciate Un-Restricted Glam Nail Polish ($15.00/ £9.00 for 13.5 ml/ 0.45 oz) is a black color polish but not very dramatic or too intense as a black should be. It has a watery consistency, very very thin and because of that it looks streaky, uneven and sheer after the first coat.
I needed third coats to get a fully opaque color coverage with a shiny finish. For me personally third coats is too much, just because I don’t have the patience to wait between coats and I prefer nail polishes that give fully opacity from the first coat or at least the second one.
After I applied that first layer of Ciate Un-Restricted Glam Nail Polish the application improved a little bit and I managed to even out the color but it still polled a little along the edges of the nail. I used Jordana Garlic Growth Base Coat on all of my nails before layering the polish and Jordana Yellow Out Top Coat on my left hand nails.
After 6 days wear Ciate Un-Restricted Glam nail polish chipped from my nails but I can say that those that didn’t received the top coat protection look better than the other nails. The black color is not so intense, it seems like it lost its intensity and doesn’t look so pigmented and opaque like it did in the first days.
