Urban Decay Anarchy Vice Lipstick Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello pretties!

I’m crazy over hot pink shades like Urban Decay Anarchy Vice Lipstick over here so since I already had the Urban Decay Anarchy 24/ 7 Glide-On Lip Pencil (review, swatches) I said why not get the matching lip color as well. I personally went to buy a couple of new Vice Lipsticks from Sephora earlier this month since you guys already now I’m totally addicted to them right now.

Urban Decay Anarchy Vice Lipstick ($17.00 / €19.00 /£15.00 / 98.00 lei for 3.4 g/ 0.11 oz.) is officially described as a bright fuchsia with a cream finish. I see it as a medium-dark intense fuchsia pink with blue undertones and a creamy finish with a natural sheen. It’s insanely pigmented, rich and delivers an opaque color coverage in one swipe.

I personally like the cream finish better than the matte one, probably because of my lip gloss addiction I feel more comfortable with a lipstick that has a bit of sheen to its finish. It had a creamy and medium weight consistency but it felt so comfortable on the lips. It glided easily and evenly across the lips cover them with an intense coat of color in one swipe. The formula felt moderately hydrating throughout the wear without being slippery.

This color will definitely attract attention to your lips so I like to keep my eye makeup as natural as possible during the day and in evening I can darken a little bit my eyeshadows but not too much as Urban Decay Anarchy is really intense. I personally like this kind of cool toned fuchsia lip color, it just brings an instant smile on face when I’m wearing it and makes my entire look appear fresh and joyful.

The formula didn’t sink into my lip lines but I always use Urban Decay Anarchy Lip Pencil as a primer to go with this color as they match perfectly.

I had about six and a half hours wear with this formula and when the color wore away it left a strong pink stain behind. I like lipsticks that stain my lips with a pink hue as I can go on with that color for about one or two more hours without feeling the need to reapply more lipstick. I didn’t feel the need to reach out for a lip balm after wearing this lipstick as my lips were soft and felt moderately hydrated.

Another bright pink color that got me crazy over these past few weeks is Urban Decay Crush Vice Lipstick (review, swatches) that I blogged about earlier.
