Senna Midas Lipstick ($20.00 for 3.4 g/ 0.12 oz) is a sheer metallic gold with a subtle gold. If you want more opaque golden lips you’ll just need to build up the color as it has a really nice and smooth formula that it doesn’t settle into lip lines. It applies easily, smooth and evenly giving you a nice glowy golden finish. It feels lightweight and comfortable on the lips while it protects and condition them due to its ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid filling spheres, Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.
Midas shade is quite long lasting as I was able to wear it for about 5 to 6 hours (without eating) but my lips were feeling kind of dry and noticed how the color sunk into lips. For this lipstick formula I advise you should exfoliate and moisturize your lips prior using Midas as it will tend to leave them a bit dry.
I also tried paring Midas lipstick with Sunstone Lip Lacquer (review & swatches) the result was a gorgeous semi-sheer gold shade with a high shine. At first this color may seem unwearable but it does enhance a tan complexion. Try to use Midas under a super glossy lip lacquer or lip gloss or apply it over your lipstick for a touch of gold sparkle as it can bring up to life even the most boring shade.

I hope you enjoyed this review. What do you think of this shade? Would you pair it with your favorite lip color or it looks better layered on its own? 🙂

Kinda strange, but I like it! So surreal 🙂
Indeed it looks a bit strange at the beginning but once you pair it with other shades it’s absolutely lovely. I really like to apply a lip gloss on top, I’ve also tried a pink lip gloss and the gold and pink combination is super. 🙂
