by Tavia

Hello beauties!

If last month I gave you Lancome French Riviera Summer 2014 Collection (info, photos) now it’s time for Lancome Golden Riviera Summer 2014 Collection. It’s not hard to see that these collections are quite similar if you take a closer look. While the first one presents a beautiful eyeshadow palette in aquatic shades, rosy and red lip shades and a star bronzer palette the last collection offers a gorgeous limited edition highlighter bronzer and a subtle golden shades for lips.

Wow, that bronzer! I stay away from such products as I fear I will never use them, though. 🙂

I just don’t understand why so many (nearly all) of the major cosmetic brands base their summer collections around tanned skin. Are they not aware that a suntan = damage? Have they ever heard of skin cancer? I know that spray tans are more common these days, but the beauty industry is STILL promoting the idea that tanned skin is glamorous, sexy and desirable, the very same industry that crows about donating $ to cancer research every October… It just makes no sense to me. Pale skin is beautiful!
