Claudia Schiffer Candy Cane Cream Lipstick Review, Swatches, Photos

by Tavia

Hello beauties!

The golden packaging of Claudia Schiffer Lipsticks looks so luxurious. It looks a lot like D&G and YSL golden lipstick cases, but this one has a magnetic closure. Today I want to show you Claudia Schiffer Candy Cane Cream Lipstick, obviously a pink shade, that I purchased when the collection launched. I was aiming the two pinks from this collection along with other products that I showed you already. Since I’m still getting questions about this collection, so you can check out here the entire makeup line. I explained more about her collaboration in the the Cherry Blossom Blush review. There are nine lipstick shades available. I’d say quite a good range of colors for a first makeup collection.

Claudia Schiffer Candy Cane Cream Lipstick (£17.95 / €17.95 for 4 g / 0.14 oz ) is a medium, nude pink with blue undertones and a satin finish and a natural sheen. It has a good color payoff being opaque on the lips.

It has a cushion effect with a very comfortable feel throughout the wear. The consistency is creamy, not very thick and glides easily and evenly across the lips. I only needed one layer for an intense color. The finish is very nice, not too glossy or a straight matte. It gives a nice luminosity and a natural sheen. About this pink color, what can I tell you more? You know how much I am into pinks so I don’t want to praise it more than I have too.

It’s a casual pink, a more tamed color, something that will not scream girly-girl or teenager and it can be worn on a daily basis. It’s a color that can be worn by adult women as well, not very bright, but just enough to make your lips look vivid and fresh. The creamy consistency won’t settle into lip lines so don’t worry about that.

I absolutely like the fuller effect of my lips, just after one coat thanks to the jelly formula with a soft plumping effect. The rich color from the tube gets the same intensity on the lips. Comfortable while wearing without feeling your lips dry for a second.

I got around six hours wear with this formula without leaving a stain behind. If I had a meal, I must admit the color needed some retouch so I like to keep my lipstick close by, just in case.

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. You get the glamorous, luxurious touch of a high-end lipstick for a decent price. It has a magnetic closure and the lipstick inside is adorned with pretty droplets. Just beautiful, simple and elegant. 🙂
