Algologie is a french cosmetic brand that has been recently introduced in my country and is also a “new entry” on my blog. I’ve always been interested more in skincare products rather than makeup so I like to choose my products wisely and I’m not afraid to spend more on a face product that is really efficient.
Since I finished my La Prairie Anti Aging Eye Cream SPF 15 (review & photos) last month, I decided to make a change in my skincare routine and test a new eye cream especially since Algologie Anti Aging Eye Contour Cream got my attention. I usually like to try a different eye cream everytime I finish a jar of La Prairie Anti Aging Eye Cream, that I’ve purchased so many times over the years, because I want to change my skincare routine every few months and test new products hoping that I can find a new eye cream with similar effect at an affordable price.

I’ve been using my new Algologie Anti Aging Eye Contour Cream since the beginning of June and I want to tell you my first impression and give you a quick preview before I’ll post my full review in a few days.
- What I liked about this cream from the start was the packaging which it looked more hygienic than most creams which comes in a jar, because this eye cream comes in a white tube and you only need to squeeze it just a little bit for the product to come out. It’s very easy to use, hygienic and practical, not to mention the ingredients have a better chance to preserve themselves comparing to the eye creams that come in jars.
- The second thing that draw me to this product was the 20 ml/ 0.68 fl oz quantity which is more than a normal eye cream would have (15 ml/ 0.5 oz). Considering the product quantity the price looks affordable (89.00 Lei/ £11.45) for almost everyone keeping in mind that this is a cream that can be used by all skin types and it would last you quite a few months.
- I was looking for a good anti aging eye cream and this one has quite a few powerful ingredients (Pelvetia Caniculata, Marine Collagen, Avocado and Babassu Oils, Ginkgo Biloba) and promises to hydrate and protect the sensible area of the eye contour while preventing the appearance of wrinkles and dehydration lines.
- I will tell you more in my upcoming review but until then I must say this eye cream has a light texture that is absorbed almost instantly by the skin leaving it hydrated and soft. It smooths the skin immediately and it feels so incredibly lightweight.
