Last year I purchased a bunch of nail polishes that I got to wear only no latter than a few weeks ago. Orly Steal The Spotlight nail lacquer is one of those shades and even though it was released back in September as part of Orly Sparkle 2014 Holiday Collection (info, photos) I still wanted to give it a try. From that collection I have also purchased Orly Explosion of Fun nail lacquer (review, swatches, long-lasting test) which I got to wear a couple of times and it was rapidly counted among my favorite toppers.

Orly Steal the Spotlight Nail Lacquer ($8.50/ 45.00 Lei for 18 ml/ .6 fl oz) is officially described as a shimmering turquoise. This is more than just a turquoise, for me it is a light to medium turquoise which leans more towards the green side and has those small rounded shimmering particles that change their color depending on how the light hits. Sometimes it’s easily to notice the pink and gold shimmer while other times you’ll see it like a greenish turquoise with copper and violet sparkle.
