Hair Care Products I’m Curently Using – Quick Review

Hello sweeties!

If last month I posted a quick review of Face Care Products I’m currently using I though I would show you my hair care products. Perhaps you will say there are way to much products but some of them I just finished using last week/ month and I want to mention them because they are great products, others I use from time to time because I’ve changed my hair care routine and some of them I’m using a few times a week.

What you should now about my hair

I need to mention this because even though some of these products did wonders for my hair, they might not work for you. I’m a natural blonde and although it might seem strange for some of you, I’m still wearing my natural color and I never (really, never ever) dyed my hair. I admit sometimes I wanted to try different colors but I gave up knowing that I will have to dye my hair all the time (I really hate when I see roots of different color on other girls) and also because all the stylist I went to recommended me to keep my natural color. Being a natural blonde my hair is very very thin and no hairstyle will resist more than few hours. Even when I go to a hair salon for a coiffure after a few hours (no matter how much hair spray or other fixing products I have on my hair) the result is still the same. My hair will return to its natural state…straight, soft, puffy and just a little bit (only on the left side) wavy. icon smile Hair Care Products Im Curently Using Quick Review

For years I’ve been using the flat iron, sometimes even 2 – 3 times a week and last year in November I reached a point where I had to stop destroying my hair. I had very serious hair loss problems, my hair was getting thinner and thinner to a point where it was almost transparent at the ends,  and using some of these products regularly was the reason why I wasn’t bald already. icon smile Hair Care Products Im Curently Using Quick Review But even the best products can’t keep up with the flat iron being used so often. Since November 2011 until now I’ve used it only 2 times and my hair is again healthy, has a vivid color, is thicker and most important it doesn’t fall anymore. icon smile Hair Care Products Im Curently Using Quick Review

My experience at Make Up For Ever and Sephora beauty shops

Hi Girls!

Today I went to Make Up For Ever (MUFE) professional beauty shop decided to check out their goodies and to buy a new foundation. Almost 2 months ago I’ve bought All Mat Face Matifying Primer (I will review it shortly)  from Make Up For Ever and since I was so pleased with it I’ve decided to buy the foundation from the same brand.

The shop was not very big (almost the size of my living room) but full with all the products of the new collection and makeup accessories. When I entered the shop the 2 makeup artists present there were very polite and they offered to help me right away. It was a pleasant surprise to see that they have makeup artists in the shop instead of beauty sellers like in other beauty shops and let me tell you that the difference was huge. They were really aware of all the products in the shop (at least of all  that I’ve asked for) and they could also help you with makeup tips and advices . After checking out some of the new products I’ve stopped to look at the HD foundation and one of the makeup artist was glad to help me out.

I told her that I’m looking for a new foundation (for oily skin) and she invited me to take a seat at the makeup table, where she will test some of the foundation on my skin. Here was the first difference (in the positive way of course),  because working with clients all the time she really knew what I needed and showed me the only 2 foundation fit for my skin type.

Since I knew that I was going to look for a foundation I didn’t put any makeup on my face (only mascara and lipgloss) so she started by testing the Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation (for oily skin type) after she used a makeup cream removal. Maybe in other countries is normal that when you are shopping for a foundation a makeup artist should assist you and test the foundation on your skin, but believe me that here this is not happening (most of the times sellers try the products on their own skin) and this was the first time when I’ve experienced this in my country and I felt great. I definitely told to myself that I will comeback since they were so professional in choosing the right shade especially since I’ve never tried their foundations before. Kerastase – beautiful hair in 3 steps

beauty2 Kerastase beautiful hair in 3 steps

How can I have a beautiful healthy hair like celebrities have?  I keep hearing this question again and again in my mind but I can’t seem to find the answer. I’m sure that we all want to look our best everyday without the help of a beauty stylist. Recently I’ve read an article where Laurent Tourette, adviser stylist at Kerastase, reveals us some of her secrets.

First of all , she  recommends us  a nutritional program from Kérastase in three steps: Step 1 – Bain Satin 3, Step 2 – Masquintense, Step 3 – Nectar thermique, followed by Noctogenist for night.

Nutritive Bain Satin 3 Shampoo brings th optimal dose of nutrition starting from the root. “In order that activators penetrate the skin, massage the scalp and the hair length, “says Laurent.
After shampoo, she recommends for very dry and sensitized hair, the  nourishing treatment with high concentration of carbohydrates, lipids and protides, Masquintense, which provides optimal nourishment to the top. “Provides intense nourishment to dry and sensitized hair, shine and suppleness. Disciplines and smooths the thick hair within 5 minutes.” Continue reading ‘Kerastase – beautiful hair in 3 steps’

How to get a new look if you have short hair

img 3129 112x150 How to get a new look if you have short hairIf you have fairly short, baby-fine hair and you can never think of anything to do with it I found some ideas that maybe will help you get a new look without changing so much.

Dry shampoo

One easy way to transform short hair is to give it lots of extra height and add some pretty hair slides. But to give it a really funky edge, try adding some dry shampoo, which creates a tough, dusty texture and helps hold your style too.

Forget Me Not – how to leave a scented memory

lancome magnifique bottle white background copy 89x150 Forget Me Not how to leave a scented memoryWe’ve lost the art of wearing perfume and with it the gift of seducing the world. For your scent to leave a beautiful trail that reminds people of your presence, you must use a parfum, the most concentrated form of scent. A low-concentration eau de toilette (EDT) will all but disappear in four hours; they were originally only meant to make you feel fresh.

A woman should make a ritual of applying scent. Mist a little eau de parfum ( the concentration between parfum and EDT) all over the body. Then dab parfum on the inside of the wrists and elbows, the dip of the collarbone, below the ear lobes, on the ankles and behind the knees. To really make the fragrance last, follow with your perfume’s scented body cream. Continue reading ‘Forget Me Not – how to leave a scented memory’

How you can make your hair shine!

2300 hairshiny 112x150 How you can make your hair shine!First of all, eat healthy. Your hair is build from a protein that is called keratin. Like wise consuming proteins from fish, eggs or milk will help the hair. This nutritional diet should last 6 months.

Keep your hair clean, because if you use to much styling products, this will remain on your hair and will affect its structure even more, forbids the shine. Use a purifying gentle shampoo which is not aggressive to your scalp.

Nourish the hair after each wash. Like you use body lotion after every shower, use conditioner after every hair wash. Chose some formulas with many nutrients and oils, like avocado oil or olives that helps repair the small cracks from the surface of the hair locks.

Don’t rub with your towel because when its wet its also fragile, and the rubbing can unstick the cuticles. It will be good to dry the hair naturally, but if you are in a hurry, use every time you can the cold air of the hairdryer. Like this you avoid the hair deterioration due to high temperatures of the warm air. Continue reading ‘How you can make your hair shine!’

Dry and dull hair? Try a hydration treatment

889 hair style 112x150 Dry and dull hair? Try a hydration treatmentEverything is perfect, until you see that your hair is no longer silky and shiny like it was used to be, but dry and dull.

Why?

Among the genetic factors and external aggression ( frequent hair dying, to powerful hair dryer) another causes would be daily exposure in the sun without adequate protection and salty sea water that had affected your hairs. Sebaceous glands atrophies and no longer permit the flux sebum to hydrate and protect the hair. That is why, now your hair is dry and deteriorated.
