First time when I told you about the new Shiseido Lacquer Rouge that is going to be launched this Fall it was in the post were I showed you My makeup products from Shiseido (photos & swatches). I received Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in shade RS404Â together with some other makeup products from Shiseido Romania to test and review them.
I don’t know the International Launch Date for this product or the retails price but in Romania it will be available at Shiseido counters in Sephora, Douglas and B&B stored in August – September 2012. I will return with more info and promo photos once they will become available.
The packaging is simple and elegant, a black shiny tube with Shiseido watermark on one side. Nothing fancy because here not the packaging is the star but the new lip gloss formula. It comes with a doe-foot applicator.
Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RS404 (6ml / .2 fl oz) is a rich pink raspberry with blue undertones, very pigmented and with a rich creamy texture. Honestly for me this feels like a combination between a lipstick which can deliver an opaque color and has a creamy texture and a lip gloss with super shiny finish and lightweight texture. It gives a deep lustre and intense color hydrating even the rough lips. The lips are plumped and the texture even though is similar with a melted lipstick is lightweight. It doesn’t sink into lips, it’s not sticky and it’s very easy to wear.
