Sensitive skin needs special care…advices, tips and recommendations

Continuous rescue antioxidant moisturizer Clinique 122x150 Sensitive skin needs special care...advices, tips and recommendationsThe fact that your skin “objects” to some cosmetic products doesn’t have to affect your beauty ritual.  I have an oily and sensitive skin type in the same time. Since i was a teenager i had to deal with lots of problems concerning my skin and although i had a cleaning routine every day and night, my skin still had some problems. It’s true that you must give special attention to sensitive skin, but you can’t say that having a sensitive skin means extra efforts. We must avoid some ingredients and open our eyes to others  like Aloe Vera and  salicylic acid. I want to share with you, some of the products that i use daily and their effects over my skin and also recommend you new ones specially for sensitive skin.

Lots of women with sensitive skin have tried multiple methods, treatments and products that promise to respect the skin sensitivity and…nothing. First step is definitely, going to a specialist doctor, which will specify the exact problems of your skin and tell you what type of ritual you should apply to your skin, because not all the “maneuvers” are bearable.

My experience thought me that i must follow three important steps and everything will be simple. Continue reading ‘Sensitive skin needs special care…advices, tips and recommendations’

The radiance – making massage

massage face 142x150 The radiance making massageIf you have a night with a big event, a cocktail party or just an important date you want to look your very best. So how about a  20 – minute facial treatment using a lot of massage techniques for lymphatic drainage?

How to do it:

  1. Warm your facial oil or cleanser in the palm of your hands. Pat the product on to your face and neck.
  2. Start in the centre of your forehead and, using medium – pressure circular movements, work your fingers out towards your temples.
  3. Then start at your nose and work outwards along your cheeks.
  4. Finish by splitting your index and middle fingers into an open “scissor” and sweep along your upper and lower lip, down across your chin to your jaw line and down the sides of your neck to your collarbone.
  5. To de-puff eyes, apply your eye serum on to your index, middle and ring fingers and sweep from the inner to outer corner, over your brow bone and down the inside bridge of your nose. Do both eyes in circular motions, keeping product a safe distance from your eyes. Repeat three times.
  6. Ensure you do this massage for 30 seconds morning and night and your skintone and texture will improve.

Tricks for long and flat hair

img 3126 112x150 Tricks for long and flat hairPerfect party hair can be pretty hard to pin down. Long? Short? Curly? Crimped?! The truth is , there is no ‘perfect’ hair that will suit every style – the tick is to work some makeover magic on what you’ve got.

Probably you have a really long long and flat hair and you fancy a change without a radical cut. I myself have long hair and i don’t want to cut it short just to make a new look. My hair grows very slowly and if i cut it short it will take me years to make it long again. So I’ve decided to cut a fringe.

A fringe is the perfect winter update and means you can keep your color and length. The trend right now is for a low, heavy fringe that grazes your eyelashes. It’s perfect for if you want to disguise a high forehead and showcase you amazing eyes. Continue reading ‘Tricks for long and flat hair’

Monochromatic make-up – Jennifer Lopez style

2619 j lo 112x150 Monochromatic make up Jennifer Lopez styleJennifer Lopez, a perfect look at the movie premier “the Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

Hair color, of a dark brown has warm honey reflexes, very well outlined by the large curls. This is a very good choice for brunettes, because this color sweetens their strokes and creates a very special luminosity to the face. The effect is even bigger in case of Jennifer witch wears a light beige dress, by Cavalli.

Surprisingly, when other stars prefer dramatic make-up in retro and vintage style, Jennifer came back to natural, monochromatic. Star’s make-up artist opted for shadows of warm and velvety bronze for eyes, cheeks and lips. Natural lashes, curbed and helped by extension give the look a gala shining.

Seems like a look easy to obtain, but the refinement in choosing the shades and keeping the natural aspect are in fact, the stakes of this make-up. You can wear the hair style and make-up a la Jennifer at any party even when you go out at night. You don’t have to worry that you will pass as a discreet! You will be remarked for your refinement!

Beautiful skin at 0 degrees

winter skin face 270x360 112x150 Beautiful skin at 0 degreesWinter is an aggressive season for our body, but also for our skin. Most major problems appear on those who have dry or sensitive skin which dehydrates in artificial warming interiors, and outside suffers from redness and smarting. But not even the oily or normal skin is less safe from the aggression of low temperatures.

To keep your skin beauty during winter, first of all, take care of hydration. A hydrated skin produces natural oils needed for protection against aggressive medium factors. Besides hydrating creams that nourish the skin you must think also of installing in your home an air moisturizer. In this way you will be avoiding the drying of the skin due to dry air by artificial warming.

Hot baths that we love so much in winter also drys the skin, and the soaps accentuates this effect. This is why, after shower don’t forget about body lotion and hydration creams. Insist especially on the dry arreas: elbows, knees, heels and take extra care of your face and neck. Continue reading ‘Beautiful skin at 0 degrees’

How you can make your hair shine!

2300 hairshiny 112x150 How you can make your hair shine!First of all, eat healthy. Your hair is build from a protein that is called keratin. Like wise consuming proteins from fish, eggs or milk will help the hair. This nutritional diet should last 6 months.

Keep your hair clean, because if you use to much styling products, this will remain on your hair and will affect its structure even more, forbids the shine. Use a purifying gentle shampoo which is not aggressive to your scalp.

Nourish the hair after each wash. Like you use body lotion after every shower, use conditioner after every hair wash. Chose some formulas with many nutrients and oils, like avocado oil or olives that helps repair the small cracks from the surface of the hair locks.

Don’t rub with your towel because when its wet its also fragile, and the rubbing can unstick the cuticles. It will be good to dry the hair naturally, but if you are in a hurry, use every time you can the cold air of the hairdryer. Like this you avoid the hair deterioration due to high temperatures of the warm air. Continue reading ‘How you can make your hair shine!’

Does our eyes need special treatment?

1087 eyes 112x150 Does our eyes need special treatment?Yes! Definitely yes! Look carefully, deep into your eyes, and tell me: what do you see?

An ultra-delicate skin which looks like thin paper? I think it’s time to learn to take care of it! The skin around our eyes it’s between 5 and 10 times more thinner than the rest of our face skin. In the same time, it’s also the less irrigated because the blood and lymphatic vessels are more fragile and fewer. Unlike the body skin, nose or chin, the skin around the eye does not have sebaceous glands, which gives a dry tide.

Smoking, coffee, cold, wind, unmakeup , excessive exposing in the sun and loosing nights are some of the negative factors that affects the teguments around the eyes. So not only that the skin around the eyes is much more delicate, but we spend our whole life sensitising even more. As a result, it’s the firs area that shows ageing effects. This appears not only as wrinkles and thin lines, but also as bumps and dark circles that we need to treat them adequately.
