Hello lovelies!
I received Astral Original All Over Moisturiser a few months ago together with Astral Light&Creamy All Over Moisturiser (review & photos) and I’ve tested both formulas for a few days this summer while I was at the seaside but I also included them in my daily face care routine so I can give you a full review.
The rich, protective formulation of Astral Original is the same simple but very effective one it’s always been, with the same main ingredients:
- Lanolin is a rich natural moisturiser which binds water to itself, locking moisture in while still allowing the skin to breathe. It’s naturally hypoallergenic and easily absorbed.
- Glycerine attracts water into the epidermis, increasing its moisture content. It’s thought of as having a Natural Moisturising Factor for smoother-looking skin.

I received the Astral Original All Over Moisturiser in the 200 ml jar which seems like a great value for money considering this cream will last you a few good months even if you are using it as a face or body moisturiser. I has a gentle simple creamy smell and is a rich, intensely hydrating moisturiser that can be used on both hands and face. I have combination and sensitive skin type so for me Astral Original moisturiser was a little to rich with a heavier formula than Astral Light&Creamy All Over Moisturiser. It takes a while to be absorbed by the skin and after a few hours I noticed my face is all shiny. It does a great job hydrating and comforting the skin but I’m sure it would work best on dry or mature skin types who are more needy for a rich nourishing cream. If you are looking for an anti-aging cream this one can’t promise you to fight signs of ageing but it does the best it can to hydrate and moisturise your complexion.
