The last nail polish I played with is Orly Elation Generation from Orly Spring 2013 Hope & Freedom Fest Collection (info & promo photos) which I received last week from Orly Romania at their press event where the latest Orly Spring Summer 2013 Collections and New Products (info, photos & swatches) were announced. Since I got Orly Spring Hope & Freedom Fest Mani Minis Collection (photos & swatches) I decided to start reviewing my favorite color of this collection which is Elation Generation.
Now @orlyromania.ro, @rowe.ro, keiko.ro and at Keiko Slim Spa Salons in Bucharest and Orly nail salons.
Orly Elation Generation nail lacquer (5.3 ml/ 0.18 fl oz – 20.00 Lei) is officially described as a bright pink glitter creme but it looks more like a vibrant pink touched by a subtle coral tone which also has fine silver, gold and blue glitter particles. The texture is a mixture between thin creme and glitter which applies evenly without streaking, bubbling or pooling right from the first coat. It looks semi-sheer after the first color coat but a second layer makes the color more vibrant but not totally opaque. As a base coat I used Orly Rubberized Lacquer Gripping Base Coat and as a top coat I applied only on five of my nails Orly 3-in-1 Top Coat which gave Elation Generation a glossy finish.
It’s a really pretty color, just perfect for spring and with a glitter personality that made me keep it on my nails longer that I usually do. I removed it only today after more than 1 week of wearing it and even though it tended to missbehave in the fourth or fifth day I still haven’t had the heart to take it off. I had only minor tip wear on the fifth day but after that they nail lacquer began chipping a bit at the ends.
Take a look at the photos and judge for yourself…
