Hi girls!
After I finally finished testing all the nail polishes that I’ve got and pampered my nails with Kinetics Nano Treatments (review round-up) I can enjoy some of my favorite nail colors.
Shocking News about my Nail Polish Collection!
I love nail polishes but I’m not a collector so everytime I receive a new collection I just test them and after I give them away to friends or even include them in Chicprofile Giveaways. Most of you will be probably surprised to know that my nail polish collections includes only 5 bottles. π I’m no kidding about it and I’m pretty sure most of you saw on other blogs huge nail polish collections but no, I’m not an addict. I barely have time to wear these 5 colors since there are always new collections arriving so I prefer to give them away to someone that can enjoy them more often that I could. π
Now that I probably shocked you with this information we can pass to the color that I’m wearing on my nails today. Honestly I couldn’t decide which one to wear so I got this idea of a french manicure using both colors.
I’m talking about Orly Pure Petunia (review) and Blushing Bud (review) nail polishes both from Orly Bloom Nail Polish Collection for Spring 2010 (review round-up).

More photos right after the jump…
Bloom collection was actually my favorite spring 2010 nail polish collection and that’s why I kept these 2 nail colors. Pure Petunia is a beautiful purple creme while Blushing Bud is a pigmented pink creme. Because they are opaque shades I’ve applied only 1 layer of nail polish but you can go and add a second layer if you wish so. I honestly don’t like overloading my nails with so many coats considering I’m applying a base and a top coat.
I still love Pure Petunia as a autumn color since is medium dark purple and it goes terrific with my favorite purple sweater. π

For next week I’m thinking about a manicure with a design combining the two colors together because I still can’t decide which one is my favorite. Can you help me out by voting one of these two shades? π
What nail polish are you wearing today?

I love the Blushing Bud nail polish!!
I love Pure Petunia!
The colors are great ,and looks better together. I donβt wear any polish ,becausei have a little girl and I wash my hands too many times a day…
Only 5 bottles!!!! I would have thought a lot more π I really like this non-traditional mani, very chic
Hi Sherri! I know it’s a shocking news, especially since many girls think beauty bloggers must have hundreds of makeup and nail products. I try to be practical and since I know I don’t have time to use all the colors that I receive, then why keeping them? Let others enjoy them since my nails are always busy testing new nail polishes. π
I’m wearing China Glaze C-C-Courage. I love the glittery purple color but I’m not used to the unsmooth finish.
You have such pretty nails and the nail polish is just so pretty! I love the bold approach, but I guess I am not bold enough to wear that kind of combination on my small fingernail π And I have bony hands that don’t help much, either :|…:* I also voted for the Pure Petunia nail polish! π But you know what Iβd like to see? The same combination of colors, but with the dark ones to create some flowery designs on the lightest ones, giving up the darker tipβ¦ Just an idea π
Hi Alex! Thanks for the idea, maybe I will ask my mom to paint something interesting on my nails next time. π
I love the “Blushing bud” one !
But the french manucure with the two colors are beautiful π
Hi Jasmine! Blushing Bud seems more like a spring color to me while Petunia is more suitable for fall. Still I think they are both beautiful. π
I think Pure Petunia is more of a fall colour. But I think I think the two shades together complement each other well, and are better than either one alone.
Hi Michelle! Although Pure Petunia is part of spring 2010 collection I’m still thinking it’s also great to wear in the fall. I’m thinking of combining Pure Petunia with Kinetics Deja-Vu nail polish next time. π
Good choice. Those two will look great together.
Beautiful nails and colours, very good combination
