With Autumn coming up I felt the need of wearing a darker color as a nail polish so I choose Max Factor Ruby Fruit Glossfinity. The glossfinity formula promises high gloss and nails that last for up to 7 days so I had to see it for myself.
Now at Douglas, Marionnaud and private beauty shops.
Max Factor Ruby Fruit Glossfinnity nail polish (€9.00/ £5.99 for 11 ml) is a dark very deep eggplant burgundy shade that may look even like a dark brown when you wear in indoors but reveals it’s burgundy tone is a sunny day. The consistency is closer to perfection, very well balanced between thick and thin. The color is fully opaque in one coat but a second coat will give you that flawless look of an intense color with a high gloss.
The application went flawlessly without bubbling, streaking or pooling along the edges. Ruby Fruit truly glides effortlessly on the nail without leaving any brush strokes but my advice is to wait a couple of minutes between coats. Max Factor suggest at least 10 minutes wait before applying the second coat but I admit I can’t be that patient. I decided not to wear a top coat because I already had that super glossy effect and shine from the second coat of polish.
I worn this color on my nails for 6 days and the results were amazing. No chipped ends, the color was still opaque and intense but I had visible tip wear so I knew then it had to be replaced with a fresh polish. After so many days the Ruby Fruit lost its shine and small lines were appearing from place to place a sign that my keyboard has left its mark. 🙂
