I decided to write a new post about MAC Autumn – Winter 2o13 Makeup Trends because earlier this week I attended an event hosted by MAC Cosmetics Romania where I had the pleasure to meet Alexandra Spyridopoulou, National Training Manager Greece & Balkans. She presented the four makeup trends for the upcoming seasons which I’ve already shared with you back in February 2013 when I dedicated two special articles to the new MAC Fall Winter 2013 Makeup Trends.
It was a real pleasure to hear Alexandra presenting the new upcoming makeup trends: Reb-Elle, Au-Currant, Perspex-tive and Spiritual-Eye and see how she realized these looks. Check out my previous two articles (Part 1 and Part 2) for more photos with models wearing these types of makeup at the Fashion Week in London, Milan and New York.
Reb-Elle makeup look is all about a strong gothic black eye makeup, a new smoky eye with a flawless natural complexion. Completely opposite to the dark eye makeup is Spiritual-eye, a makeup look based on cold ghost-like shades around the eye and a glossy porcelain complexion. The Au-Currant look puts lips in the spotlight with dark vibrant matte colors, blending the edges of the lip making the lip liner unnecessary in this case. The last look presented by Alexandra was Perspex-tive where plastic is fantastic at least for the eye makeup, where the glossy and shiny effects are a must. Those addicted to highlighting products will definitely love this look since the highlighter is necessary to illuminate the cheeks and create a glowing complexion. You can choose to paint the lips in nude or bright coral shades.
