La Mer Radiant Concealer SPF 25 – Review + Photos

by Tavia

Hi everyone,

I know you’ve been waiting a long time for this review. It’s been a while since I did the preview post on La Mer Radiant Concealer SPF 25 and promised that I’ll return with a full review and more photos.

As you probably know by now from my previous reviews I’m not going to talk about packaging, ingredients and what this product is suppose to do because I’ve already said that in my preview post and in the post that I did before that where I gave you a little scoop about my package from the Skincolor collection. So if you guys are interested in checking out those promo information and my first impression about Radiant Concealer SPF 25 you are welcome to check out those previous posts.

Before getting directly into the subject watch these photos with the package of  Radiant Concealer and the concealer brush. I’ve already told you the package looks amazing and elegant and you can only expect to find a great product inside. I love that it comes in a great compact with a mirror and a small application brush so you can see it’s high class and also very practical if you want to retouch your makeup or reapply lipstick.

I’ve got the Medium 02 shade because I used to have a pale skin but after a few solarium sessions I thought this was the right shade for me. The downside is that you have only 3 shades to choose from: Light, Medium and Dark and I would have preferred a larger color palette of tones and colors. For me the Medium 02 shade is perfect but I’m sure those 3 available shades are not enough for everyone.

The Radiant Concealer is not just a concealer as you may think, is more than that. Is a treatment cream concealer that optically corrects dark circles and blemishes to create a naturally flawless finish.

I will be honest with you here and tell you this was the first time when I used a concealer. I don’t have dark circles and although I previous had a job that involved night shifts I never complained about dark circles and that difference in skin color that is easily noticed. I admit that if I’m having a white night I look kind of tired but a good night sleep can take care of that for me. 🙂

While I tested this product I love the fact that the skin around my eyes looked much healthier and we all know that even skin tone can make you look healthier. So every now and then when I don’t get enough sleep I can count on the Radiant Concealer to make me look  fresh. It’s also important to use a good eye cream which I do and I never forget to apply it (twice a day).

This concealer instantly adds radiance to your eye area, hides blemishes and covers those dark circles. The texture is so light and it blends easily sinking very fast into the skin, optically erasing imperfections to create a smooth, even finish. Redness and discoloration are diminished as skin is continuously calmed and soothed.

My skin was looking healthier and naturally flawless all day. Here you can see the photos I’ve took before and after applying the Radiant Concealer.

I’ve tried applying the product with the brush that comes with it but I’m doing a better job when I use my fingertips. A little goes a long way and I only needed a small amount of product to cover blemishes.I used the concealer under my foundation and it does radiate and brightens up my eye area. The staying power is great, leaves no lines and also has SPF.

I love that is SPF 25 because I don’t buy products anymore that don’t have SPF (exception are night creams). Skin eye area is very sensitive and also needs protection. I don’t know how many of you really use sunscreen around your eyes but a product that contains SPF and can be used around your eye area can help you in your anti-aging arsenal and you’ll see the results later on.

The price is $65 and I know this is kind of expensive for many of you but those one who can afford this I would say definitely go for it because it’s worth the money.

My conclusion: Not so many shades too choose from but if any of those three works for you then you got yourself a great concealer. Complete coverage, instant radiance, covers dark circles and blemishes, gives your skin a healthy and smooth look. Great lasting power and texture, SPF 25 and elegant packaging. The price is in the expensive side but if you can afford it I’m sure you’ll not regret it. It’s more than just a concealer it’s a treatment for your skin eye area.

Thanks for the review. It looks really nice on you and makes you look fresh. I agree with you that they should expand their selection of shades. With only 3 to choose from not everyone will be able to find a good match.

Hi Gio! I appreciate that you liked my review. I saw lots of reviews on their site and many girls are asking La Mer to expand their selection of shades. I hope they will consider it because it’s really a great concealer. 🙂

I did try their concealer a while ago and really loved it. I also use their treatment powder foundation quite a bit too!

The packaging is really *wow*! I love it! But, I’d expect it to be something like that since it’s expensive. 😀
Thanks for the review! I don’t remember seeing this brand anywhere here but it would be interesting to try it! 🙂

Hi Vesna! Indeed the packaging rocks but the product itself is a real gem. La Mer’s products can’t be found in my country either but I can find the products online. 🙂
