My favorite color from Kinetics Neon Spring 2012 Nail Polish Collection (info, nail swatches & photos) is definitely, the beautiful electric Kinetics Violet Up nail polish. The new collection was released in U.S. in February 2012 and Internationally in March 2012.
In Romania the new colors will be launched at the beginning of April 2012 online @kiriloff.ro and later on can be found on beauty nail salons.
Kinetics Violet Up nail polish (Eur 6.00 / 25.00 Lei for 15 ml / 0.5 fl oz) is a true electric violet shade with shy fuchsia undertones. I just love this color, it looks great on nails and changes color into a deeper violet in the evening or when the sun is not so bright. The color is very transparent after one coat but even the second coat won’t make it very opaque. You can keep building up coat if you want (3 coats should be enough) but I’m satisfied with only 2 coats because it looks a bit transparent only in the bright light.
The application went flawlessly, the texture is just a perfect light cream that will instantly dry on your nails. I applied the color evenly without bubbling, pooling, or streaking. Violet Up! is a neon shade but not like other neons, because it leaves a semi-matte effect on nails being luscious if you touch it after it dries.
The color changes in different light angles and I tried my best to capture it in the following photos.

Kinetics Violet Up Nail Polish – two coats

Kinetics Violet Up Nail Polish after 4 days wear
For this color and for all the other included in Kinetics Neons Spring 2012 Collection I have decided not to wear a top coat. It would only add a glossy finish and these finishes are semi-matte anyway.
I’m really pleased because it’s a long lasting color for a neon polish (the usual neons won’t last me more than 2-3 days tops) and after 4 days wear the color is bright and only a bit more matte than it was in the first day. I had minor tip wear and it chipped a little on my pinky toe but after all the dishes I washes, that’s a great result.
You get a great quality nail polish for a cheaper price (almost half the price) than other nail polish brands like OPI, Essie or Orly.

I hope you enjoyed this review and find it helpful in your future purchases. I would love to hear your opinion about this color. 🙂
