Last week I finally finish reviewing all the colors from Kinetics Summer Kiss 2010 Summer Collection (preview post + swatches) and today I hope that I will have time to post the 5 nail polishes that were left to review.
Being a summer collection most of the colors were bright and with small glitter particles or even bigger ones included in its texture. Only three of the nail polishes from this collection were having a more creamy texture and I’m talking here about those pastel colors.
Wearing Raspberry Fizz – 2 coats – no top coat -natural light
Raspberry Fizz is probably the most interesting color from this collection. As you know I’m not a fan of red colors or any other colors resembling bright reds. Raspberry Fizz was indeed a new challenge for me but I’m more than happy that I got to test this color and see its multiple reflections.
It can be confused with a bright raspberry red if you take a look at the bottle but once you have it on your nails it has a totally different color. You can never get bored with this polish because it shines so bright on a sunny weather and reflects exactly the color of ripped raspberries, but if you look from a different corner or different light you might find it similar red combined with small violet glitter particles, a red with coral reflections and many other combinations.
All the effect is due to those tiny glitter particles inside its texture that makes this color vibrate and have a super shiny effect. The texture is not creamy, it will dry out very fast and the nail polish is long lasting.
To get that bright raspberry color I’ve applied 2 coats of Raspberry Fizz so check out this shiny shimmering strong color.
Raspberry Fizz – 2 coats – no top coat
If you want extra shine you can try a top coat but I mostly added only on 5 of my nails to compare the results after a couple of days and see if it’s long lasting.
Raspberry Fizz – 2 coats + top coat
I’m sure you can notice the extra shine and wet nails effect.
The bottle contains 15 ml of product and it’s available in U.S. for a price between $6.70 – $8.10 and in Europe for Eur 5.30 – Eur 6.30. You can also check out more colors on @ Kinetics
I had this color on my nails for 6 days. Now let’s check out the results.
Raspberry Fizz after 6 days later
I’ve tested so many Kinetics nail polishes that I already know that many of them are more than chip resistant. But every collection has its flaws so it can be a couple of colors that are not that great.
First let’s take a look at the photo where my nails are wearing the protective top coat.
Wearing Raspberry Fizz with Top coat after 6 days
The result is pretty impressive. No chipped nails, the color is all in place, only microscopically you can notice faded ends. 🙂 Raspberry Fizz is still bright, vibrant and shiny.
How about those nails where I didn’t used a top coat? Let’s take a look. 🙂
Wearing Raspberry Fizz without Top Coat after 6 days
I would say we have the same great result here. The top coat didn’t made any major difference but you can slicely notice the glitter particles are more vibrant here than the shiny effect.
I hope this review was helpful for you and you’ve enjoyed the photos. Please let me know if you like this color. 🙂
