Hello!
Finally the last nail polish review of Kinetics Summer Kiss Collection for summer 2010. I should have reviewed Melting Ice Cream nail polish first due to its name but since I’m crazy about ice cream I wanted to save this for last.
Too bad this Melting Ice Cream doesn’t have my favorite flavor. π
Kinetics Melting Ice Cream nail polish – 2 coats and no top coat – natural light
When I look at this Melting Ice Cream I’m thinking cappuccino mixed with vanilla flavor because is such a pastel natural color. On my nails it look so simple because it gets confused with my skin color so I’m not usually wearing pastel nail polishes.
The color is a soft natural pink beige with a creamy texture. 2 layers of Melting Ice Cream were enough for me, the color is opaque and the application went out smoothly.
The final result is not what I would expect since the color is more like a semi matte one without any glossiness or too much shine. For a glossy effect I needed to call upon the protective top coat.
Kinetics Melting Ice Cream nail polish – 2 coats + top coat – natural light
Not even with a layer of top coat I can make this Ice Cream glow. π This is the best you can get I think so if remember this has no glossy finish so if you are looking for a semi – matte finish here is your polish.
Melting Ice Cream comes in a 15 ml (0.5 fl oz) bottle and it’s available @Kinetics.
Prices of Kinetics Nail polishes can be different depending on which country you are located and from where you are purchasing your products.
- In U.S. price ranges from $6.70 to $8.10
- In Europe the prices are between Eur 5.30 β Eur 6.30
Now the first shocking news! I had Melting Ice Cream on my nails for 10 days! I know it might sound crazy and that’s why it took me so long until I finished reviewing all the polishes from this collection but I wanted to see where the limit was for these long lasting colors. Lets see the results together!
Kinetics Melting Ice Cream Nail Polish 10 days later
Now lets check out those nails with the protective top coat and see how they are doing. π
Wearing Melting Ice Cream polish With Top Coat after 10 days
I was expecting chipped nail polish and even worst results. Let us bare in mind we are still talking about 10 days here and I can assure you this color looked perfectly after 6 days. If you read my reviews on the other Kinetics nail polishes you already know they don’t chip pretty fast.
This was just one of my experiments so don’t try keeping your nail polish for so long. π
I said the first shocking news is the 10 days experiment but the second shocking news is coming right up in the next photo. π
Wearing Melting Ice Cream nail polish WITHOUT Top Coat after 10 days
What do you say about this? That’s why I kept this color on my nails for long, even though is not my favorite but I was just curios when it will start to chip and honestly I was getting bored waiting so many days.
After 10 days I finally start to notice small chipped ends. I don’t know about you ladies but I never kept a nail polish on my nails for so many days and in the end I’m the one who has to gave up and not the nail polish.
This is probably one of the most chip resistant nail polishes I’ve tried so far. If you love this color just go and buy it because it is definitely worth it. Long lasting and affordable price for 15 ml of product is hard to find these days.
I really hope this review was helpful for you. Please let me know if you tried any Kinetics nail polish before and how did you like it. If you didn’t had the chance maybe you will keep this brand in mind next time you want a new nail polish.

It’s hard to go 10 days with a polish.
