Last Friday I was invited by Guerlain to discover the beauties of the season and I had the privilege of taking a sneak peek at the upcoming Guerlain Un Soir a L’Opera Christmas 2014 Collection. I want to mention right from the start that the official information and photos are not available yet for bloggers but I was promised to get them later this month. Being able to have a first look at what Guerlain will be launching for holidays was very exciting for me as I’ve always been fond of their limited edition luxury beauty items. I did saw the presentation of this collection and all the beautiful promo images and I can’t wait to share it with you lovelies once the time comes. You will definitely recognize Natalia Vodianova as the face of this ad campaign, once again her beauty will be associated with Guerlain Holiday makeup line.
International Launch Date – November 2014
Romania Launch Date – 1 November 2014
Once I’ve heard the name, I trusted I’ll be looking at a luxurious and elegant collection where classical shades of red and sparkling gold will surely embrace some of the new products. At first the collection appears two be divided in two parts, White Swan featuring mostly golden metallic shades for lips, nails and eyes and Black Swan with more daring colors like red, burgundy and grey. The centerpiece of the entire collection will be the new Coque d’Or powder spray, a limited edition release and re-interpretation of the old and classical Guerlain Coque d’Or perfume released back in 1937. When I first saw the promo image I instantly thought of Bonbon EDP by Viktor & Rolf, with the beautiful bow shaped bottle.
This year we’ll be looking at a new limited edition Petrouchka Eyes & Blush Palette, which features five eyeshadows in nude tones with a sparkle finish, something that will allow us to achieve a classy, yet elegant and glamorous look. I couldn’t help noticing there’s a small resemblance between the new Guerlain Petrouchka Palette and last year’s Guerlain Crazy Paris Eye Palette (info & photos) but the new one is definitely looking more stylish, elegant and luxurious not to mention it also hides four new blush shades under those eyeshadows, waiting to be discovered just by lifting the first lid.
Other than that a new Meteorites Perles D’Etoile will be presented in a limited edition packaging along with a Rouge G lipstick, two shades of Kiss Kiss Lipstick, two combinations of Ecrin 2 Couleurs, two shades of La Lacque Couleur, two Lip Glosses in gold and red and what I thought it will really complement the other shades are the new Top Coats for Lips and Nails which have real gold particles in them so it will be nice to see them looking stunning applied over an intense lip or nail color.
That’s about it with the news for the upcoming Guerlain Un Soir a L’Opera Collection, as I did say I watched the presentation and read some of the details but I won’t be able to share them with you until later this month. In the meantime I will let you enjoy a few photos taken by Debbie from BeautyScene and don’t forget to check out her blog as she has more of these coming.
