I’m new to Green People beauty brand. I admit I found out about their products only last month and since I’m always intrigued by new brands, I want to show you two of the products that I will be testing in the next couple of days. My reviews will follow shortly afterwards.
Green People is a relative new brand established in 1997 and which became the leader in certified organic body care products. It offers an extensive range of natural products and is one of the biggest names in organic beauty in the UK.
The two products that I’ve received are Eco Eye Trio in Smokey Grey and Lipstick in Cherry. At first glimpse the packaging looks pretty simple and boring and the lipstick doesn’t bare its name on the white case or any details. All the details, about color, ingredients and weight can be found on the cardboard packaging that comes with each product. As I’ve seen so far Green People doesn’t focus on the products’ packaging but on their ingredients. What I found interesting is that 100% of the total ingredients are from natural origin while 10.2% are from Organic Farming.
Eco Eye Trio – £ 9.00
I got the Smokey Grey trio which contains 3 blendable shades in Winter white, Silver cloud and Graphite sky. I swatched the colors but I haven’t wear them yet so I will give you more details in my upcoming review. So far I can tell you they have a nice frosty finish and they apply smoothly. They don’t seem very pigmented and I also had to apply several layers with my brush so I can catch up the color. I will use them tomorrow to do a makeup look and after that I can tell you more about them.
Lipstick – £11.25
I received the color Cherry which I swatched and looks totally different than how it looks on the tube. Swatched it looks like a coppery bronzy shade with gold particles while in the tube resembles more to a ripe cherry. The packaging is very simple, almost too simple I would say because I felt the need of checking the name of the lipstick on the bottom of the tube and there’s nothing there. It would have been handful to see the name of the shade on the back of the tube when I’ll store it in my lipstick drawer.
I’m wearing this color right now on my lips and I can tell you it smells extremely minted with a minty flavor and feels quite refreshing on the lips. It gives me the impression that I just had a minty drops. I don’t like mint at all, no tea, no drops not anything minty so I don’t know how often I will wear this. It is lightweight on the lips and keeps them moisturized and should be perfect to wear on a windy day or now in the cold season because it has some great ingredients like coconut oil, castor seed oil, jojoba oil and of course peppermint oil.
