Recently I discovered a new makeup brand called Flirt! Cosmetics and my first post about it was Flirt Holiday 2010 Makeup Collection. Since I’m from Europe it took me a while to find out more about this brand because its products are only available in the U.S. Yesterday I received a few products from Flirt Cosmetics and I want to show them to you since some of them are included in the Holiday 2010 Collection.
I will be reviewing each product separately later on but for now here’s a sneak peek of upcoming reviews on Chicprofile. I’m very excited to test products from new brands and I’m quite impressed with the packaging of Dreamy Eyes Eyeshadows. It’s a very sophisticated packaging but elegant and chic in the same time. The packaging comes with a built-in mirror for each eyeshadow but judging by the size of the black case I would expected a bigger eyeshadow inside. You could say it’s a waste of packaging and it’s quite big for the small shade inside but the mirror has quite a normal size and let’s not forget the stylish opening. 🙂 Inside the case you will also find a mini eyeshadow applicator which should be very useful if you carry the mono eyeshadow with you in your purse and you want to retouch your makeup. Honestly I never use the applicators because I’m an eyeshadow brush fan.
I’ve also received two eyeshadow palettes, both are Limited Edition and part of the Holiday 2010 Makeup Collection. Each of these palettes comes in a pretty sleek box, very colorful, one of them with flower imprints called Flowerific Eyeshadow Palette and the other one has lots of photos with different lip colors because is called Flirtatious Palette. Each palette contains 4 shades and the packaging is a sleek black case, very simple but elegant. I prefer simple packaging when it comes to eyeshadow palettes and maybe you’ll think I’m crazy but I don’t like sophisticated packaging like UD Book of Shadow (especially vol.3) since it make it hard to carry it with you.
Flirt Flowerific Eyeshadow Palette – Limited Edition – $14.99
Includes 4 eyeshadows:
- #43 Gold Envy
- #38 Golden Lady
- #37 Solid Gold
- #56 Cocoa Luster
Looks like a classical palette in natural nude shades, maybe nothing special if you don’t love brown and gold shades. The palettes comes with a built-in mirror inside the case and a duo type applicator and eyeshadow brush. I swatched the colors a little bit today and Golden Lady and Solid Gold a semi metallic texture, while Cocoa Luster is the one with the most shimmery texture. I will probably review this palette next week and then I will post swatches using different eyeshadow primers and I will be able to tell you more.
You could easily create glamorous looks for the holiday season with this palette. I’m more into sparkling makeup in natural, brown, bronzy and gold shades than I am into bright colors so if you are interested in this palette let me know. 🙂
Flirt Flirtatious Eyeshadow Palette – Limited Edition – $14.99
Includes 4 eyeshadows:
- #05 Peach Champagne
- #20 Glamourazzi
- #13 Bronze Splash
- #22 Goody Goody
Has the same design as the Flowerific palette but the most interesting color is Glamourazzi, a purple with soft gold shimmer. Except that shade the rest are Goody Goody a semi matte brown, Bronze Splash a bronzy gold with copper undertones and the lightest one a light peachy champagne shade with a satin texture.
Dreamy Eyes Eyeshadow – $12.00
I received 4 colors:
- #03 Sugar Daddy
- #16 Sweet Sensation
- #21 Moonstone
- #26 Black Ivy
I barely swatched every single eyeshadow and some of them have semi matte textures and by the far Black Ivy is the most interesting one. I also like Sweet Sensation because, it’s pink and I got a think of pink eyeshadows but more details in my upcoming reviews.
Let me know if you ever used Flirt products, what do you think of them as quality and price and if you bought anything from their Holiday 2010 Collection. 🙂
