In the past few days I worn on my acrylic nails (swatches) a bright nail polish received from Essence Romania a few months ago. Essence #107 Naughty & Pink nail polish is a permanent color and you can find it anytime at Essence counters. I had real problems capturing the shade of this polish and no matter how hard I tried to photograph Naughty & Pink under natural light, daylight, tungsten lighting or white fluorescent lighting the color came out wrong in the photos.
Essence #107 Naughty & Pink Nail Polish (€1.69/ 7.00 Lei for 8 ml/ 0.27 fl oz) is a medium pink with blue undertones which comes up as a hot orange in these photos, but trust me when I say it’s pink all the way. It comes opaque right after the first coat so I would say the second coat it’s optional especially if you want to add a top coat as a final touch. The application went pretty well except the bubbling I got when I applied the second layer of Naughty & Pink. The formula is light and creamy but a little bit on the watery side and dries to a nice glossy finish.
I’ve decided to apply Jordana Yellow Out Top Coat on 5 of my nails to protect the color, add more glossiness and compare the results after a few days with the nails that I left with only 2 coats of polish.
After wearing Essence Naughty & Pink for 3 days the color was looking pretty well, a little bit mattified on the nails without a top coat but with minor tip wear which I didn’t like it considering I applied this polish on my acrylic nails which makes every nail polish last longer than on natural nails. On my natural nails I usually remove any Essence nail polish after 3 days because I usually get tip wear and some nail polishes even chip on me.
