Forget the stereotypes. Women are more likely to become infected with HIV than men. While the overall rate of new HIV infections has slowed, the number of women infected with HIV is growing. And in every part of the world. In sub-Saharan Africa, six out of every ten adults living with HIV are women and, even more disturbing – three out of four young people between the ages of 15-24 are infected. In the United States, where there are far more resources for HIV prevention and care, the number of women living with HIV has tripled since 1985; more African American women between the ages of 18-35 die from AIDS than from any other illness. Spring 2010 sees two new Lipstick shades introduced as limited life for 12 months on counter.

In honor of all of the women who are living with the HIV/AIDS virus, and those working to curb its spread, the MAC AIDS Fund will announce $2.5 million in new donations to fund model programs that address the vulnerabilities and inequities that place women at increased risk for HIV/AIDS. MAC Viva Glam – 2010 Campaign

Yes, that’s right girls! MAC Cosmetics is launching a new Viva Glam campaign that will start on Feb 25 2010. After Eve, Christina Aquilera, Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliot, Fergie and many more, now is the turn of Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga to new faces for the Viva Glam campaign  that will benefit the MAC AIDS Fund ( MAF ).

The advertising campaign is called “From Our Lips“. The two new lipsticks that are scheduled to be launched in North America on 18 March 2010 will be:

- Viva Glam lipstick Gaga
- Cyndi Viva Glam lipstick

each of them costing only 14$.
Since it was founded back in 1994 The MAC AIDS Fund has invested more than $150 million to organizations in more than 67 countries.
