Last year, in Autumn was the first time when I tried this mask. I was looking for a good mask that will help me get ride of that oil excess that it had been bugging me for years, so I was determined to start doing something. I wanted to change some of the products that I’ve been using and enter the search for products that are more suited for my skin needs.

In the future I want to make a post where I will talk about my daily face routine and all the products that I use (makeup removers, tonic lotions, eye creams, day and night creams). Since I have an oily complexion type you may guess that most of these products are matching my skin needs.

What it is

A soothing clay-based mask that helps heal blemishes, prevent breakouts and keep skin shine-free. In just 5 minutes, skin looks clearer, smoother, less blemish-troubled. Gently non-drying formula. Oil-Free. Continue reading ‘Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask – Review, Photos, Swatches’

Max Factor Second Skin Foundation – Review + Photos

Max Factor introduced a while ago its latest foundation breakthrough, the New Second Skin Foundation.

I received this product only a few days after I just bought a new foundation from MUFE, so I wasn’t to excited to try it out. I usually don’t use foundation but when I do I ask a lot from it. I want to cover all my breakouts, I don’t want to feel it heavy of my skin like I was wearing a mask and I definitely want to have  a matte complexion for as long as possible.

La Mer The Oil Absorbing Lotion – Review + Photos

My experience with La Mer The Oil Absorbing Lotion began in December last year when I first start using it in combination with Oil Absorbing Tonic (review here).

These two products should win the Oscar for the best couple of the year for beauty products.

You can read all about the ingredients contained in this lotion and what I’ve experienced when I first used it, here in my preview.

What makes it my favorite face lotion is that it’s oil-free, oil-absorbing fast-penetrating formulation that hydrates, yet leaves a soft matte finish for hoursperfect for normal-to-oily and oily skins (like mine). If you are using it along  with the Oil Absorbing Tonic (200ml for $60.00) you will forget about an oily complexion in no time.

I’ve been struggling with sebum excess for years and although I’ve tried lighter creams that promised to keep my oiliness under control I could never find the right combination for my complexion.

Just to let you know, The Oil Absorbing Lotion is a lighter version of Creme de la Mer which I’ve also enjoyed using, so you will find the in this lotion the same ingredients that are contained in Creme de la Mer.

I have to admit I like the lighter version better, because the texture is lighter, non-greasy, smoother and faster absorbed by my skin. As La Mer says ” the texture provides freedom of choice for those who desire Creme de la Mer in lotion form for times when a creme may be too rich”. La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic – Review + Photos

Hello beauties,

As I promised in the preview that I did a few weeks ago, I’ve returned with a full review and my honest opinion about La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic.

La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic Review + Photos

I mentioned in my preview that I have an oily skin complexion. This tonic is not only for women with oily skin like me, so anyone who has combination to oily skin can use this product.

I don’t know where to begin because the Oil Absorbing Tonic has so much to offer and I have a lot to say about it. The review I’m going to make today is based only on my experience with this product in the winter time. I’ve read some other reviews about women who have used it during summer and there were another great effects. A long story short, these women were living in a very hot climate or with very high humidity and the Oil Absorbing Tonic stopped the appearance of the oil on their complexions.

I will not get into details about ingredients, what they do and other general stuff because I’ve already talked about that in my preview. I’m going to go straight to the subject. Continue reading ‘La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic – Review + Photos’

Preview: La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion

Another quick preview I’ll be making today is on the Oil Absorbing Lotion from La Mer, which is actually a lighter version of the original Creme de la Mer on which I’ve already done a preview where you can read more about its secret formula and key ingredients.

As I said on my review on Creme de la Mer, since my complexion is oily I wanted a product more suitable for my skin that could have they same ingredients as the original one and the Miracle Broth.

The new version specially created for oily skin types is the Oil Absorbing Lotion that I’ve been using for a couple of days now and I will review (new photos, important details and my whole experience with this product) in the next few weeks.

La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion is a an oil-free, oil-absorbing fast-penetrating formulation that hydrates, yet leaves a soft matte finish for hours – perfect for nomal-to-oily and oily skins.

The Oil Absorbing Lotion contains the same amount of renowned Miracle Broth as the original Creme de la Mer. It possesses all the coveted benefits of the original Creme without compromising any of the extraordinary properties that make Creme de la Mer a skincare legend. Preview: La Mer Oil Absorbing Tonic

Hello my Beauties!

Today I’m going to make a quick preview on The Oil Absorbing Tonic from La Mer.

I have an oily complexion type and I’m always looking for products that could keep my oiliness under control and can give my complexion a mattifying effect. Until now I’ve been using the same tonic lotion for couple of years and is not that I’m not happy about it, but I think it’s time to try some other products and see if I can find a better one.

La Mer Oil Absorbing Tonic Preview: La Mer Oil Absorbing Tonic

I know many of you don’t use La Mer products because you consider them to be very expensive and that’s true. As I said before La Mer is not an usual beauty product brand so you can’t compare its prices with the rest of brands. In my opinion is indeed a luxury brand and not only because of the price tag but because of the quality of their products and high standards.

You know I’ve been posting about Creme de la Mer in the past and its special ingredients make the difference between this cream and the others. There are not many brands out there that can compete with La Mer’s products.

The Oil Absorbing Tonic is the vital transition between cleansing and treatment. Infused with Colloidal Mineral Water, the topical benefits of this soothing tonic are readily apparent. La Mer’s exclusive Deconstructed Waters™ within the tonic revitalize and enliven the skin with no signs of dehydration. Anti-irritants delivered through these negatively charged waters soothe and tone the skin, preparing it to readily receive the maximum benefits of skincare to follow. Review: Creme de la Mer – A miracle come true

Creme de la Mer is where miracles begin. I’m skeptical about miracles sometimes too but this one sounded so good that it must be true. So I decided to try this cream and see the effects on my own skin.

I wrote a preview for this moisturizing cream a few days ago, where I talked about its ingredients (which are all natural), what you should expect of it, the price, how it was made and by who. So, if you are interested in those details please read the preview here.

Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream Review: Creme de la Mer A miracle come true

I’ve been using this cream for more than 6 weeks now, and I figured it’s just about time to make a review. I like to test the creams for a longer period of time, especially the ones who claim to be anti-wrinkle because you have to give them time to adapt with your skin and until you will see the effects it will take a few weeks, depending on the cream.

I’ve been using good creams before this one too (even anti-wrinkles) so I can’t really say that I had a lot of wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. I always used face and eye creams and I took very good care of my complexion.

I just turned 28 in the beginning of December so I’m qualified for testing anti-wrinkles creams, because I’ve also start using them for over a year now. It is said you should start using anti-wrinkles creams not when you notice your first lines but long before that because you want to prevent their appearance.

First of all I want to let you know that I have an oily type of skin. If you girls have the same you know for sure that it takes special care and you always try to fight shine (at least I do). I have been searching for creams that will be absorbed fast by the skin without leaving my complexion looking oily but I can’t say that I’ve found the perfect one yet.

My experience at Make Up For Ever and Sephora beauty shops

Hi Girls!

Today I went to Make Up For Ever (MUFE) professional beauty shop decided to check out their goodies and to buy a new foundation. Almost 2 months ago I’ve bought All Mat Face Matifying Primer (I will review it shortly)  from Make Up For Ever and since I was so pleased with it I’ve decided to buy the foundation from the same brand.

The shop was not very big (almost the size of my living room) but full with all the products of the new collection and makeup accessories. When I entered the shop the 2 makeup artists present there were very polite and they offered to help me right away. It was a pleasant surprise to see that they have makeup artists in the shop instead of beauty sellers like in other beauty shops and let me tell you that the difference was huge. They were really aware of all the products in the shop (at least of all  that I’ve asked for) and they could also help you with makeup tips and advices . After checking out some of the new products I’ve stopped to look at the HD foundation and one of the makeup artist was glad to help me out.

Make-Up-For-Ever-Professional-shop

I told her that I’m looking for a new foundation (for oily skin) and she invited me to take a seat at the makeup table, where she will test some of the foundation on my skin. Here was the first difference (in the positive way of course),  because working with clients all the time she really knew what I needed and showed me the only 2 foundation fit for my skin type.

Since I knew that I was going to look for a foundation I didn’t put any makeup on my face (only mascara and lipgloss) so she started by testing the Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation (for oily skin type) after she used a makeup cream removal. Maybe in other countries is normal that when you are shopping for a foundation a makeup artist should assist you and test the foundation on your skin, but believe me that here this is not happening (most of the times sellers try the products on their own skin) and this was the first time when I’ve experienced this in my country and I felt great. I definitely told to myself that I will comeback since they were so professional in choosing the right shade especially since I’ve never tried their foundations before.
