Hello pretty girls!

I’m gonna start my reviews series of Kinetics Backstage Collection for fall – winter 2010 (preview post + swatches) with one of my favorite colors from this collection.

Blackout nail polish was one of the colors that I fall in love with instantly and I saw many of you like it also. Blackout is a perfect autumn winter color for me because I love wearing dark nails and this one is really dark. From a distance you may think is only a black nail polish but when you get a closer you discover that rich dark plum color with purple undertones.

I’ve notice that sometimes it can reflect  a burgundy wine shade with just a little bit of violet undertones. The color is rich, has a creamy texture which glides on easily, giving you a simple and even application.

Hello!

Finally the last nail polish review of Kinetics Summer Kiss Collection for summer 2010. I should have reviewed Melting Ice Cream nail polish first due to its name but since I’m crazy about ice cream I wanted to save this for last.

Too bad this Melting Ice Cream doesn’t have my favorite flavor.

Kinetics Melting Ice Cream nail polish – 2 coats and no top coat – natural light

When I look at this Melting Ice Cream I’m thinking cappuccino mixed with vanilla flavor because is such a pastel natural color. On my nails it look so simple because it gets confused with my skin color so I’m not usually wearing pastel nail polishes.

Today I’m gonna review another nail polish from Kinetics Summer Kiss Nail Polish Collection for summer 2010 (preview post + swatches).

Pale Petunia is a beautiful pastel light lilac color with a creamy texture. This is one of the 3 nail polishes from this collection that are not so bright and does not contain any glitter or shimmer inside its texture. If you like a simple pale violet color with glossy finish then you should give your nails a taste of Pale Petunia.

Wearing Kinetics Pale Petunia – 2 coats – natural light

It took me 2 coats to get the final result for an uniform application. The polish is opaque and glides on smoothly, without woring about lines or uneven application. Before I’ve applied those 2 coats of Pale Petunia I laid 1 coat of Base Coat so by adding the final top coat I was afraid the 4 layers might too thick for the polish to resist more than 3-4 days. Last week I finally finish reviewing all the colors from Kinetics Summer Kiss 2010 Summer Collection (preview post + swatches) and today I hope that I will have time to post the 5 nail polishes that were left to review.

Being a summer collection most of the colors were bright and with small glitter particles or even bigger ones included in its texture. Only three of the nail polishes from this collection were having a  more creamy texture and I’m talking here about those pastel colors.

Wearing Raspberry Fizz – 2 coats – no top coat -natural light

Raspberry Fizz is probably the most interesting color from this collection. As you know I’m not a fan of red colors or any other colors resembling bright reds. Raspberry Fizz was indeed a new challenge for me but I’m more than happy that I got to test this color and see its multiple reflections. A while back I received the entire Summer Kiss nail polish collection for summer 2010 (preview post + swatches of the colors includes in this collection) from Kinetics.

Being a big collection (includes 8 nail colors) it will take me some time until I will review each polish individually but for today I’m prepared with my second favorite from this collection: Butterfly Wing Velvet.

Kinetics Butterfly Wing Velvet without top coat – natural light

When it comes to nail polish colors I’m more into the darker side so when I saw this beautiful whiskey brown color I knew I’m gonna love it on my nails too. I took the photo in natural daylight (no flash) without wearing any top coat so you can see the real effect on your nails. I started with a base coat which is usually recommended especially if you are applying a darker nail polish and I finished with 2 coats of Butterfly Wing Velvet.
