Make Up For Ever teams up with Sephora for a series of store-in-store concepts. Three new stores will be opened @Sephora locations in US ranging from 600 to 750 square feet and resembling a backstage environment.

Hello Ladies!

Have you ever been to Paris at Moulin Rouge cabaret? Well if you haven’t had the chance yet, at least now you will get to wear the same makeup as those Parisian dancers from Moulin Rouge thanks to Make Up For Ever newest collection for fall 2010, called Moulin Rouge.

Seems like there was a collaboration between Make Up For Ever creator Dany Sanz and Janet Pharaoh, the ballet mistress from Moulin Rouge, for creating a new makeup collection inspired by the colors of the Parisian famous cabaret.

The new tubes will be the biggest ones we’ve seen so far at MUFE and they include a high concentration of different pearlscent pigments in order to create three kinds of unique shine: crystal diamond for the Diamond collection, natural pearls for the Star Collection and strong metal shine for the Metal Collection. The new lip gloss formula will also contain spherical particles composed of particles with mirror formula that will  help capture light and reflected it trough like a mirror with an amplification effect.

We will also see other ingredients added to the new formula: hyaluronic acid and linseed oil component, which can provide excellent lip moisture and soft lips. The texture is not oily, not sticky and long lasting.

I’ve decided to write this post due to the fact that I’m a big fan of MUFE products and I’ve heard so many great things about their HD Blush. A few months ago I was looking to buy a new foundation and due to the fact that I read so many great reviews about Make Up For Ever HD Foundation I wanted to give it a try. I went to the Make Up For Ever Studio decided to buy a new foundation and take a closer look to their new products (read all about it here).

I have an oily complexion type so I was looking for a oil-free foundation that can give me a matte finish. The makeup artist recommended me the HD Foundation in 117 Marble  (for light skin with yellow undertones). The foundation is available in 25 shades to suit all skintones so I’m pretty sure you can your find your own shade. I’ve tested the foundation on my face and I was pretty happy with the shade and the light texture. At that time my face was clear, I had no breakouts or pimples so I couldn’t test the coverage very well.

They say it will cover skin imperfections flawlessly and create a soft-focus effect. After testing it, my complexion had a natural glow, not really matte but I was thinking about the cold winter weather at that time and the makeup artist suggest that will have a more mattyfing effect when the temperatures are low.
