Chantecaille has already launched their new Summer 2012 Makeup Collection which contains quite a lot of products for face and lips but unfortunately I don’t see anything new in the eyeshadow area, no new palettes.

Chanel sets this summer destination for its new limited edition makeup collection to golden Bombay. Expected to be launched next month Chanel Bombay Express Summer 2012 Collection features golden and black charcoal shades for face and eyes and nude colors for lips.

The star of this collection is the exclusive creation Compact Powder in Route des Indes de Chanel with a beautiful design with Indian influences.The makeup look for this summer suggested by Chanel is black eyes, golden cheeks and nude makeup, a simple but glamorous makeup.

Now in Romania: MAC Hey Sailor Collection for Summer 2012 – Info, Photos, Swatches & Local Prices

On 15 May MAC Hey Sailor Summer 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) was launched in Romania. I’ve posted a lot about this collection so far (this is the 4th article) and one of these articles was written specially for Romanian visitors with local prices, tips and info about this collection.

MAC Hey Sailor is the biggest makeup summer 2012 collection but unfortunately not all the products made it to Romania and here I’m referring to the makeup bag, Dead Gone Sailing beach bag and nail lacquer in Brass Gold.

This is one of those collections were anyone can find something they like or have a second chance to buy the products they missed from previous collections because they are lots of repromote products. Some other products are permanent but were added on this collection with the special Hey Sailor packaging so they are a little more expensive. For example both Pigments are permanent colors but because of the special packaging MAC has charged 5.00 Lei over the normal price and now the new price is 115.00 Lei so my advice is if you love the color and you don’t really wanna have the packaging just get the color with standard packaging.

What I found disappointing was they repromote the nail lacquer in Vestral White with the same watery formula from two years ago. I remember having this color back then and the application was terrible streaky and runny. Honestly MAC nail lacquers are getting more and more expensive (MAC charges extra 5.00 Lei for products with special design packaging) and their formulas are about the same, breaking my heart to see and admit they repromote colors without improving anything.

I surely hope and wish that more and more girls will read info, tips or even reviews (when it’s the case) before going on a shopping spree of makeup goodies. Just a quick search on the internet about the makeup collection you are going to check on the stores can save you a lot of money and give you the info you need. Not all the time you will get the right info at the beauty counters so it’s better to do your homework before arriving at the store.

MAC Reel Sexy Summer 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) was launched in Romania two days ago. This collection doesn’t include only new colors but also a lot of permanent and repromoted shades from previous collections. The eyeshadow duos, nail lacquers and cremesheen glasses are all new colors, also some of the lipsticks but except that the other colors are permanent or repromote from previous collections.

I will have all the products listed bellow with the local prices and mentions for each color if they are new/ repromote or permanent.

Kanebo Launches Sensai Beauty Brand in Romania – Photos, Swatches & Local Prices

Yesterday I had the pleasure to take part at the launching of a new beauty brand in Romania. I’m referring to Sensai which is one of the 6 beauty brands owned by Kanebo and the only one available also in U.S. and Europe. The other 5 brands by Kanebo are exclusively available in Asia (I’m really jealous on you Asian girls) and one of my favorite is Lunasol and you’ve probably noticed that because I post articles of Lunasol makeup collections and beauty products all the time.

The event took part at Douglas perfumery in Mall Baneasa and was an elegant and refined reception with a few guests. Sensai is a beauty brand more on the luxury side and it targets women of all ages who are cultivated in the art of makeup and skincare but also women who respect themselves and want only the best.

Sensai makeup range currently available in Romania is quite small (features mostly face & cheek products, lipsticks and mascara) but in the end of August it will get bigger with the arrival of the new eyeshadows.

Sensai products can be found now only in 10 locations of Sephora and Douglas perfumeries in Bucharest but also in Timisoara, Cluj and Constanta.

Giorgio Armani New Porcelain Summer 2012 Collection – Info & Photos

Hello sweeties!

Giorgio Armani is launching next month a Limited Edition Makeup Collection for Summer 2012 in porcelain and nude shades. I thought the Giorgio Armani Ecailles Collection (info & promo photos) was the only one we were going to see on the counters in the hot season but I’m happy to see new shades coming up.

The new collection is inspired by the concept of “Oriental porcelain dolls” and contains products in elegant nude colors with matte finish. The collection will be released next month in Japan and from its description is surely seems like an Asian exclusive collection but I’m hoping it will be available worldwide. When I will have more info I will update this post.

Even though the cold season is far away (I like to think that summer will last an eternity) I though you might appreciate a sneak peek of Dior Makeup Collection for Fall – Winter 2012. Some of the products from this collection were used on models from runway Dior Fall Winter 2012 so if you watched the presentation I’m sure you’ve spotted the new makeup tendencies.

Cosmetics play a very big part in the secret of beauty, but they mustn’t show. Too much make-up is now very old-fashioned. You don’t have to be under strong lights like an actress on a stage, so there is no need to be made up like one. The most natural make-up is best, and except for lipstick it must not show.
