Hello lovelies!

On 15 May MAC Hey Sailor Summer 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) was launched in Romania. I’ve posted a lot about this collection so far (this is the 4th article) and one of these articles was written specially for Romanian visitors with local prices, tips and info about this collection.

MAC Hey Sailor is the biggest makeup summer 2012 collection but unfortunately not all the products made it to Romania and here I’m referring to the  makeup bag, Dead Gone Sailing beach bag and nail lacquer in Brass Gold.

This is one of those collections were anyone can find something they like or have a second chance to buy the products they missed from previous collections because they are lots of repromote products. Some other products are permanent but were added on this collection with the special Hey Sailor packaging so they are a little more expensive. For example both Pigments are permanent colors but because of the special packaging MAC has charged 5.00 Lei over the normal price and now the new price is 115.00 Lei so my advice is if you love the color and you don’t really wanna have the packaging just get the color with standard packaging.

What I found disappointing was they repromote the nail lacquer in Vestral White with the same watery formula from two years ago. I remember having this color back then and the application was terrible streaky and runny. Honestly MAC nail lacquers are getting more and more expensive (MAC charges extra 5.00 Lei for products with special design packaging) and their formulas are about the same, breaking my heart to see and admit they repromote colors without improving anything.

I surely hope and wish that more and more girls will read info, tips or even reviews (when it’s the case) before going on a shopping spree of makeup goodies. Just a quick search on the internet about the makeup collection you are going to check on the stores can save you a lot of money and give you the info you need. Not all the time you will get the right info at the beauty counters so it’s better to do your homework before arriving at the store.

Finally photos of MAC Casual Colour Collection for Summer 2012 (info post) are available. Even though they are not high-end resolution photos they are pretty OK just so we can make an idea about how the products look like. I’m sure that close-up photos will pop-up anytime and I will surely make a new post.

Hello lovelies!

The biggest MAC makeup collection for summer 2012 MAC Hey, Sailor (promo and close-up photos) will be present shortly at MAC Studio within Mall Baneasa. This time I will not post the high-end photos of all the products because I’ve already done that in March 2012 in both my sneak peek post and the one mentioned before.

MAC Hey, Sailor includes all kind of products for eyes, lips, & cheeks a makeup bag but also a beach bag called Dead Gone Sailing. This one of those collections where everyone can find something they like. I don’t know how fast it will sell but I’m hoping it will last a little longer on the counters because I’m honestly afraid after I’ve heard that MAC Vera Collection for spring 2012 (photos & info) was sold out in 3 days.

A few tips that can help you

It is definitely a collection worth checking out but before you go out there I must let you know that some of the products are Repromote from previous collections so in case you missed those and you really like the colors now is your chance to buy them, while other products are Permanent so this means you can find them anytime because they are part of MAC Permanent collection. I’m just giving you these tips hoping they can be useful to some of you who probably don’t know if some of the products have been included before in other collections or they are permanent.

I would say go take a look at the new products which are Limited Edition and if you don’t have so much money to spend is better to focus on the new and repromoted shades leaving the Permanent ones for another occasion since they will always be there.
