Review: Creme de la Mer – A miracle come true

Creme de la Mer is where miracles begin. I’m skeptical about miracles sometimes too but this one sounded so good that it must be true. So I decided to try this cream and see the effects on my own skin.

I wrote a preview for this moisturizing cream a few days ago, where I talked about its ingredients (which are all natural), what you should expect of it, the price, how it was made and by who. So, if you are interested in those details please read the preview here.

Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream Review: Creme de la Mer A miracle come true

I’ve been using this cream for more than 6 weeks now, and I figured it’s just about time to make a review. I like to test the creams for a longer period of time, especially the ones who claim to be anti-wrinkle because you have to give them time to adapt with your skin and until you will see the effects it will take a few weeks, depending on the cream.

I’ve been using good creams before this one too (even anti-wrinkles) so I can’t really say that I had a lot of wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. I always used face and eye creams and I took very good care of my complexion.

I just turned 28 in the beginning of December so I’m qualified for testing anti-wrinkles creams, because I’ve also start using them for over a year now. It is said you should start using anti-wrinkles creams not when you notice your first lines but long before that because you want to prevent their appearance.

First of all I want to let you know that I have an oily type of skin. If you girls have the same you know for sure that it takes special care and you always try to fight shine (at least I do). I have been searching for creams that will be absorbed fast by the skin without leaving my complexion looking oily but I can’t say that I’ve found the perfect one yet.

My experience at Make Up For Ever and Sephora beauty shops

Hi Girls!

Today I went to Make Up For Ever (MUFE) professional beauty shop decided to check out their goodies and to buy a new foundation. Almost 2 months ago I’ve bought All Mat Face Matifying Primer (I will review it shortly)  from Make Up For Ever and since I was so pleased with it I’ve decided to buy the foundation from the same brand.

The shop was not very big (almost the size of my living room) but full with all the products of the new collection and makeup accessories. When I entered the shop the 2 makeup artists present there were very polite and they offered to help me right away. It was a pleasant surprise to see that they have makeup artists in the shop instead of beauty sellers like in other beauty shops and let me tell you that the difference was huge. They were really aware of all the products in the shop (at least of all  that I’ve asked for) and they could also help you with makeup tips and advices . After checking out some of the new products I’ve stopped to look at the HD foundation and one of the makeup artist was glad to help me out.

Make-Up-For-Ever-Professional-shop

I told her that I’m looking for a new foundation (for oily skin) and she invited me to take a seat at the makeup table, where she will test some of the foundation on my skin. Here was the first difference (in the positive way of course),  because working with clients all the time she really knew what I needed and showed me the only 2 foundation fit for my skin type.

Since I knew that I was going to look for a foundation I didn’t put any makeup on my face (only mascara and lipgloss) so she started by testing the Mat Velvet Matifying Foundation (for oily skin type) after she used a makeup cream removal. Maybe in other countries is normal that when you are shopping for a foundation a makeup artist should assist you and test the foundation on your skin, but believe me that here this is not happening (most of the times sellers try the products on their own skin) and this was the first time when I’ve experienced this in my country and I felt great. I definitely told to myself that I will comeback since they were so professional in choosing the right shade especially since I’ve never tried their foundations before. Academie Hypo Sensible

I’ve been talking to you before about Academie products and its Professional Facial Treatments but now I want to offer some answers to those who have a sensitive skin. Academie Professional Facial Treatments

When was the last time you spoiled your complexion with a professional treatment? If you are treating yourself with a professional facial treatment every month let me congratulate you for taking such a good care of your skin, but are ladies that don’t have the time or the time to go every month to a beauty salon for a professional facial treatment.

Healthy Face Skin

I admit that I would like to spoil myself with different skin treatments every 2 weeks if  would be possible but I try to compensate it with weekly face treatments at home, using pealing, hydrating and anti-aging masks. I try as much as I can to go to the beauty salon for a professional facial treatment with every chance of season.

We all have to be reminded that since autumn came we need to give a different attention and care to our complexion because autumn is the best season for facial treatments when we can prepare our skin for the cold season and also treat the damage done by the hot summer sun.

Today while I was in the beauty salon I talked with my cosmetologist about the Academie Professional Facial Treatments  and which one would be better for my oily skin type. I liked many of them but I can try only one at the time so I’m still thinking what to choose.

Facial Treatment

But let’s imagine for one second that we have an entire day to relax at our favorite beauty salon and spoil ourselves with all the goodies that cosmetics products offers us. Which facial treatment would you choose? What is your type of skin and what do you need the most in this season?

Academie laboratories have developed treatments for every type of skin and every facial problem. I’m going to talk you today only about the facial treatments but Academie also has body treatments  from which you can choose your favorite.

All these professional creams are based on manual massage techniques. They are original and exclusive treatments, effective, that restore the skin well being. The promised results are visible and long lasting. Continue reading ‘Academie Professional Facial Treatments’

Review – Florena Hand Cream with Chamomile

Florena HandCream Review Florena Hand Cream with Chamomile

I like using creams, face creams, eye creams and hand creams but I become instantly lazy when it comes to body creams or body lotions. I guess I don’t have the patience to stay and apply them all over my body. With the hand creams is a little bit different. I used quite a lot of  hand cream back in the days when I had a job that made my hands dry and I needed to hydrating them very well. Back then I was using a normal cream with chamomile but I wished that I could turn back time and used Florena Hand Cream with Chamomile.

I have to admit that during the summer I don’t use so often my hand cream, but when the cold season starts my hands ask for it immediately. I’ve discovered this cream a few months ago and I still have half of it for the cold season (this is only because I bought it during the summer).

What I like:

  • The packaging. It’s a 100 ml tube ( 2 Eur or 3$ ) with a pink design and chamomile flowers ( the pink was what attracted me at first). When I reached for the cream and touch the plastic I was surprised to see that it has a soft texture (can you believe this, I’m talking about the plastic tube). Although the tube is not transparent if you put it in a strong light you can see the amount of product left inside.
  • The smell is very discreet and the chamomile flowers give the cream a pleasant, even calming fragrance.
  • The texture is soft, light and it quickly absorbed by the skin. It has no mineral and silicone oils, so is not oily. Only a little amount a product will hydrate your hands without leaving them oily.
  • The formula with proven chamomile relieves the stress from the sensitive hands.
  • Contains Glycerin and Pro-vitamin B5 that improve the moisture content of the skin and strengthened the fingernails in the same time.
  • After applying it your skin will become soft, supple and velvety. Continue reading ‘Review – Florena Hand Cream with Chamomile’
