Lately I’ve been receiving a lot of requests for more makeup looks, especially something with blue shades. If you are reading my blog for a long time I guess you probably know that I’m a little afraid of blue shades and not because I have green eyes and usually blues are recommended to those with darker eyes but because for me personally blue is a very difficult color.
Nonetheless I was convinced to give it a try especially since it has been a long time since I haven’t done a blue makeup look. I wanted to try something very simple, that can be worn during the day but also in the evening, just a Blue Holiday Nights Makeup Look that can complement the snow and icy weather of this season. Blue is such an electric shade and I wouldn’t recommend this makeup for a Christmas dinner with your family but it’s a beautiful look to be worn on any other occasion. Lately I received so many requests to post more makeup looks so I promise to try and write articles like this more often. I know I haven’t posted so many makeup looks lately because I don’t wear so much makeup as I used to and another reason is also because I don’t get to much out of the house since the cold season began and I’ve been crazy busy with all the upcoming news of spring 2013 makeup & nail polish collections.
Today when I checked out my e-mail I saw the new Kinetics Spring 2013 Crazy Daizy Collection (upcoming post later today) and those new pastel colors put me in a pink mood, so I’ve decided to play with my pink eyeshadows and pigments and create a cheerful makeup look. Since I’ve received a few gifts which involves Hello Kitty I thought today I’m in the perfect mood to create something Hello Kitty inspired. I know I’m way passed the age of Hello Kitty cute stuff but so don’t worry I didn’t get out of the house wearing the cap and the ring.
I hope you get to enjoy this makeup look, I had fun creating it and I felt pretty happy wearing it. Continue reading ‘Let’s Pink Hello Kitty Makeup Look for Winter!’
Yesterday I played with the new Parisax Les Gourmandises Coffret for eyes & lips (swatches) that I received from Parisax Romania after the meeting with beauty bloggers and I wanted to create a makeup look suited for a night out with friends, or a date, something that will include some shimmer and sparkle. Parisax Les Gourmandises set contains 6 shades for lips/cheeks and 6 creamy eyeshadows. I’m not into creamy shades so much because they tend to crease quickly but I was willing to give these new shades a chance especially since I will write my review soon and I was also curious how they will behave with the Make Up For Ever #302 Holodiam Powder (review & swatches) on top.
This is the look I came up with but after I combined 2-3 creamy eyeshadows they started to crease and they look very sheer so I’ve applied some of my Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadows (swatches). On top I’ve added my MUFE Holodiam Powder and the makeup became shiny and metallic. I hope you will enjoy the look. Continue reading ‘Shiny Winter Makeup with Parisax, Rouge Bunny Rouge & MUFE’
I want to share with you this new makeup look I’ve created using the Green People Trio Eyeshadow in Smokey Grey (swatches) that I presented you yesterday. Since the trio includes white, silver and graphite black shades it’s very easy to create a smokey eye look just something that you can worn when you go to club or an evening with your friends.
For the eyes I’ve used only the shades from the trio and a black liner and my all time favorite mascara L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black. On the lips I used the lightest shade from Parisax Les Gourmandises Coffret (swatches) which is a sweet baby pink. This kind of makeup I used to wear about 13 years ago almost everyday so it was nice to play with the colors and recreate my old makeup look. I finally got to post the review of MUFE #302 Holodiam Powder and I want to show you my first makeup look that I’ve done using this product. As I previously said I used it to create a couple of makeup looks which I will be posting in the upcoming days because I want to show you how versatile this color really is. Lately I’ve been in a sparkling mood and all of my looks reflect that because I used mostly gold, copper and a lot of sparkling pigments.
This looks is quite simple and if you want to try it you will only need some gold, brown and vanilla shades with shimmery or sparkling finishes. The entire look is based on blending the colors very well and applying #302 Holodiam Powder on the outer part of the lid. I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating and wearing it. Continue reading ‘Make Up For Ever Holodiam Powder Winter Makeup Look’
I want to show you a new makeup look that I worn last week, in gold and earthy shades from one of my dearest palettes, Flirt! Flirtatious! Eyeshadow Palette which was available in limited edition for holiday 2010.

I’m sure by now most readers know that my B-day was last week when I also started my B-day International Giveaway. Thank you all for your lovely wishes, comments and messages, it means a lot to me to know that you care.
As a birthday present, Sinziana Iaru makeup artist & trainer at Exclusive Beauty Line Academy offered me a free makeup session in my favorite colors pink and black. I wanted a special makeup look for my b-day, something that I wear only at special occasions and who else better for this task than my favorite makeup artist Sinziana Iaru (official page). I was no stranger of her makeup technique and talent since she already done a black smokey eye look on me on a different occasion and I also had the pleasure of photographing her Geisha Halloween 2012 Makeup Look.
So I let myself in the hands of Sinziana with the only request that my makeup should be in pink and black shades, something sultry and special. Needless to say I loooved the result and I will try to do my own version very soon. They eyeshadow used were from Make-Up Atelier and for the lips Sinziana used a colorless gloss mixed with the same bright pink eyeshadow. On the nails I’m wearing Kinetics Let’s Pink Nail Polish (review, swatches & long-lasting test). Continue reading ‘My Birthday Makeup in Pink & Black by Sinziana Iaru Makeup Artist & Trainer’
Since Dior Golden Jungle Fall 2012 Collection (info, photos & prices) has become available online in US and until it will be seen on international counters on August 2012 I thought you might like to see some Dior Fall – Winter 2012 Makeup Trends.
Eyelids are silvered, underscored with a brisk stroke of color along the lash line – in hot pink, lagoon blue, pearly white or prairie green – that stretches toward the temple. Snappy fluorescents echo the bold colors of the clothes in Raf Simons’ Haute Couture collection for Dior. Lips, too, resonate with vivid color and the intensity of orangey reds and gourmand pinks. They also reflect the collection’s duality when, at the center of the lower lip, a touch of a different color is delicately dabbed on with a finger. Created by Tyen, Dior makeup creative director, the show look is, like Simons’ designs, a hymn to color.

I’m going to present you a second makeup look for fall/ winter 2012 – 2013 created for Kryolan by Kevin James Bennett called Blue Aura. If I were to choose between Kyrolan Blue Aura Makeup Look and Kryolan Femme Phenomenon Makeup Look for Fall/ Winter 2012 – 2013 (info, photos & products used) created by Yuko Takahashi I would go with the blue water shades.
“Blue Aura” is the name of the gorgeous fall-winter look by award winning American make-up artist Kevin James Bennett for Kryolan. In this upcoming season, ombre and “tonal” make-up are the statement makers and Bennett demonstrates this trend by creating a modified smoky eye of unexpected elegance using blue as the new black. The focal point is a modern, intensively color saturated eye make-up, framed with a flawlessly perfected complexion.
Kevin, winner of 2 Emmy Awards, is famous for his technique of creating radiantly beautiful complexions that frame his make-up art. “Make-up becomes fascinating and quite memorable when there is one featured element”, is his credo. “And smooth, perfected skin is the ideal backdrop.”

I’ve already opened the presentation of face charts and makeup looks for the upcoming seasons with my previous post about Shiseido Holiday 2012 Makeup Looks (face charts, info) so if you want to know what makeup looks will make you keep up with the new trend then keep on reading this article and don’t miss out on my next post.
Kryolan Femme Phenomenon Trend Look for Fall/ Winter 2012 – 2013 was created by make-up artist Yuko Takahashi using her “Six Blocks” technique which involves dividing the entire area around the eyes into six natural highlight zones.
With this trend look for the coming fall and winter season, the New York make-up artist Yuko Takahashi pays homage to the power of feminine creativity and declares woman to be a natural phenomenon. “Femme Phenomenon” is the name of the expressive look that stands guaranteed to draw all eyes. What is in fact a classical beauty style is ennobled by carefully designed accents to the status of a fashion statement. This make-up marvelously suits spirited, modern women who always love to try something new – not only in life, but in fashion as well.
Takahashi combines no fewer than three beauty trends to create her fascinating look: Smokey Eyes in saturated jewel and metallic colors, dark-red glossy lips, and high contrast French nails in chevron style.
