A few days ago I was reviewing some of Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Collection for Spring 2010. As you know, usually I’m not wearing lipstick and I’ve dedicated my lips only to lip glosses and lip glasses but this time I wanted to combine these two products together.
Bobbi Brown Metallic Lip Color in Coral Glaze (review) is a pale coral shade with shimmer particles and Shimmer Lip Gloss in Coral Sand (review) is light peachy-coral shade with golden shimmer.
If you love coral shades you would probably wear them all Spring long since they are so trendy.
These two products combined worked even better than they did alone and the color was even more beautiful. Of course the texture was kind of sticky because of the Shimmer Lip Gloss but if you don’t have any problem using these kind of lip glosses you won’t have to worry about it. Continue Reading
Just a few days ago I was posting the news about Max Factors’ summer 2010 collection – Max Colour Effect. Along with this colorful collection comes two makeup looks inspired by the variety of color products.
The two trendy styles that can be created are X-Tra Chic and X-Tra Glam. Colour X-Pert products are also used by the makeup artists to create these new looks from you can change depeding on your mood or occasion.
X-Tra Chic Spring/ Summer 2010 Makeup
This look is very soft and natural as you can see from the makeup of the model’s photo.
The first step for the eye makeup and one of the most important ones is using primer on the eyes in bright, velvety tones that can be applied with an eyeshadow brush on the lid. Take brightest tone of the Max Factor Max Effect Trio Eyeshadow in Coco Crazy (No. 01) and spread it over the entire lid. Apply in the crease to the middle and put the darkest shade of brown as Clay, in the eye corner. As an extra highlighter just under the eyebrows you can use Max Factor Colour X-Pert Eyeshadow in White Satin (No. o1). To emphasize the eyes you can apply the black Colour X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner (No. 01) in a thin line drawn directly on the eyelashes on the upper lid. For the final touch you need the Lash Extension Effect Mascara (review). Continue Reading

“Bleached or stridently bold brows. Skin that’s under-refined yet ultra alive. A bare lip and lash. Summer’s nude face is about grooming on the verge of grunge – tough, urban and sensually androgynous. She doesn’t care a lot, but she cares enough. Think shine-enhancing textures for a skincare-effect makeup that’s hydrated and bathed in light…”
Looking at these close up photos it’s so hard to tell that models are wearing any makeup at all. They look is so natural and fresh, pale colors on the lips but I know the natural makeup is the hardest one to pull off.
This is my third post about MAC Cosmetics 2010 Makeup Trends and it’s about Underground Society makeup look.
“Aerodynamically misplaced eye liner. Lips packed with pigment or duo-chromatically constructed. Unconventional colour. Taking urban tribalism to its logical and brilliantly illogical conclusions, here’s how to interpret individuality in the extreme. Without looking traditionally “gorgeous,” this makeup “is anti-establishment, yet there’s still a luxury to it,” explains Terry Barber…”
