Orly Jealous, Much? nail lacquer (18 ml/ 0.6 fl oz – 45.00 Lei/ $8.50) is a pastel minty green, one of the perfect shades for spring. The formula was a big disappointment, was so so streaky that it took me 3 coats to even everything out. After 3 coats the color looked even and glossy but it was so thick and took like forever to dry and once I started to type on my laptop I had lines showing in the nail polish. I had to remove it and start from scratch deciding only to stop after the second layer. After the first coat the color looks uneven, streaky and sheer but with the second coat tends too look better. I had some pooling so the application was so difficult that if I had to convince myself this is such a pretty shade and it’s worth the effort. I sealed everything together with a layer of Kinetics Nano Shark Treatment (review & swatches) on five of my nails so I could compare the results in a couple of days.
I worn Orly Jealous, Much? for 5 days and you can see the results in the photos. Top coat or not the color chipped noticeably, looks more mattified and it has lines and dimples from my keyboard. Since the formula is so thick and streaky it takes a long time to dry and the lacquer remains very thick so once your nails come in contact with any hard object you will have a sign. It’s such a shame that a beautiful pastel shade like this has just a terrible formula.
